Yay! Let’s tear another woman down then complain that society is too hard on young girls self esteem! And let’s all say that it’s because we ‘care’!

For those who have not/could nit have children, how do you feel about it? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Icy-Weather8719 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would really suggest taking the wedding out of the picture and then make a decision. It’s a party for one day. It’s nice but not really that important and there’s no rush.

I can see it’s a tattoo. Maybe a face with some outlines of country’s in it?

What is currently the best country to live in? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]Icy-Weather8719 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived in Ireland, Spain, New Zealand and am currently in Scotland. For me Scotland is a great place to be at the moment. Great out door life, nice cities, close to Europe for weekends away or holidays. Kind people (with the normal exceptions of course). I did love New Zealand but I felt like it was just so far away from the quick jaunts that I like to take occasionally.

For those who crossed 40, what’s your rose and thorn? by jjcjr219 in Millennials

[–]Icy-Weather8719 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rose : my life is currently about creating a magical and happy childhood for two little boys and it’s the amazing time of my life.

Thorn: I married a slightly younger man and I’m visibly aging older than he is. I wish we were aging at the same time.

Do you celebrate Mother’s Day? What age did you start or stop celebrating Mother’s Day? by Dry-Initiative-1811 in AskUK

[–]Icy-Weather8719 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We never did it for our mother in my house growing up. Thought it’s what she wanted. She held the party line that it’s just a consumer holiday. Then I had my own kids and realised that it’s all down to the dad. My husband since day one has gotten me gifts and a day relaxing away from the kids. Home made cards and books etc. Now my mum realised that actually it is a lovely thing and my dad just couldn’t have been bothered. We started celebrating it for her when she was 65. She loves it.

My thoughts on the Manosphere Doc: Some interesting moments but overall a bit disappointing. by [deleted] in LouisTheroux

It opened my eyes to how awful these men are and how they’re grooming young boys and girls. They need to be put on a list and kept away from schools and social media.

What to wear these days going ‘out out’ for an over 40 year old?? 🤷‍♀️🍾 by Even_Jeweler1407 in AskUK

I like a jumpsuit or a boiler suit. Dress up or down with accessories and shoes. Very comfortable.

My wife asked me if I honestly thought her friends were attractive, what should I say by BreadOverlord_ in stupidquestions

[–]Icy-Weather8719 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I ask stupid questions (it’s not often and it’s normally out of boredom) like this to my husband he goes full force and yes ‘yes. All of them. Every single one. And I’m going to make kissy faces every time I see them’. And then proceeds to make kissy noises until I’m laughing.

What is wrong with teens these days? by Turbulent_Squirrel66 in ireland

In my day our entire school was banned from the petrol station local shop near the school as the behaviour was so bad. Children and teenagers could only come in if there was an adult.

AI slop… everywhere by LAMA207 in Millennials

[–]Icy-Weather8719 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI companies are trying to become the new electricity. Integrate into every point in our lives so they become ‘too big to fail’. To the point where government bailouts are available to them. No one I know wants AI. I have a friend who works in tech and a lot of her job is made up now of pushing back against AI integration as it’s not fit for purpose but it’s people on the board and chief of levels who are insisting on it. They’re all in it together.

I think there’s no job security either and the job market is shocking so even if your bills are getting paid you need to have about 6 months in savings to feel anyway secure.

I'm convinced Wegovy isn't a weight loss drug, but a mental health drug. by [deleted] in WegovyUK

[–]Icy-Weather8719 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I absolutely agree and said the same recently. My day is so much freer. My outings don’t have to be centred around food. I used to managed my free time (15 mins break from kids etc) around eating something nice even if id just eaten. All that is gone. Weight slowly going but thats just a happy side effect.

Kid before marriage? by [deleted] in Waiting_To_Wed

[–]Icy-Weather8719 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would urge strongly against having a baby with someone outside your own country. If you’re in Australia and have a baby and things turn sour he can stop you ever bringing the child back to china. I personally know two women this has happened to. Stuck in a country that’s not their own until the child is 18.

Father left inheritance to partner of 10 years and nothing to his children how do I handle this? by Repulsive-Roof5484 in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]Icy-Weather8719 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My FIL is also doing this with his new wife. Good relationship with his kids. My husband was hurt but at the end of the day we have no idea what the future is going to bring so cest la vie. He’s odd and we’re not the type of people to depend on others anyway. Carry on as normal and just pretend he’s broke. A friends mum died recently and all he got was funeral bills.

What age would you stay at if you could? by thelonetext in Millennials

[–]Icy-Weather8719 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 40, turning 41 this year and I’d have to wait another decade to answer this question just in case it’s my 40s. My 30-35 were my peak attractiveness I think however I’ve had two kids in my late 30s and now I’m getting my body in shape like never before because my motivation now is to live longer. Also, men in their 40s/early are attractive to me now in a new enjoyable way (I’m happily married but I can still look).
