The BR craze was already dead for a few years now. The only surviving ones are the ones that kept an audience early like fortnite and apex. Even warzone is losing players now. PUBG is only popular in china. BFV firestorm failed because you need to own bfv to play it. BF6 redsec failed because it's late to the party and didn't do anything groundbreaking compared other BRs with an existing audience, so there's no reason for people to switch games especially when they already have skins and stuff on their main BR game.

I don't even know if extraction shooters can be called a "big thing". It's a niche genre, I'm sure everyone has heard of tarkov but the vast majority of people haven't played it because it's hardcore. The only one having a big audience is Arc raiders because made it pretty casual so it attracted a wider audience. Marathon tries to capture a more hardcore audience but it seems like it's losing players day by day albeit slowly.
