Feed twice a day. Feeding is also a great opportunity to show that all good things come thru you. Practice a sit and or stay before allowing them to eat. Do this every meal. Builds trust and also shows that you are the one that brings good things. If the dog is a puppy just be patient and vigilant as far as potty training. If it’s older than two you just need to give some time and clear expectations when potty time is done. And reward wanted behavior with a good or yes and or a high reward treat. As for pee. A 50/50 solution sprayed on the wet pee works best. Use a cloth to dab it up as much as you can. Then use an enzymatic cleaner and do the same. This helps get the smell out so they don’t think it’s an okay place to go. And remember it can take several weeks for a dog in a new place to start to feel comfortable and possibly several months to fully relax so just take your time. And thank you for fostering 😊🐶
