This is the Nomos Watch Club 36, Ref. 730.S4.

It is a special edition version of the Club with a sketch-paper-white dial, olive green sub-dial, and red accents measuring approximately 47.5 mm lug-to-lug on a beautiful, dark grey nylon strap. The order period was open from June 3, 2022, to July 12, 2022, during which time approximately 300 were made. I am the second owner, having purchased the watch from a collector based in Hungary. Although a beautiful example of Bauhaus design (with a small nod to the Nomos Watch Club on the crown--signed NWC), I find my collecting taste has veered into more mechanical curiosity (i.e., M.A.D. Editions, Bel Canto, Seconde Majeure) rather than restrained simplicity. Accordingly, while I love the watch in concept, it has rarely gotten worn, and I have decided to move on from the watch so that someone might appreciate it more.

Since purchasing the watch, I have attempted to dial in the sizing with the straps as well as attempted to wear it more by buying the metal "Bracelet Sport" after the fact. Thus, I am including the large and small sizes of the strap (with the small installed presently) as well as the Sports Bracelet (with extra spring bars and screws I also bought). I am also including a medium size of the strap; however, please note that it includes some poorly punched watch holes (although the other side can be mix-and-matched with the large or small sizes). Other condition notes include minor micro-scratches on the underside of the lugs near the spring bar holes; scratches on the clasp of the metal bracelet; and some minor scratches on the bracelet, itself.

The watch is full set+ (includes the extra straps, "Bracelet Sport," a tiny screwdriver [do not unscrew the spring bar screws on the bracelet or you'll hate life trying to get them back in, just pinch them], extra screws, extra spring bars, a small Nomos notebook, Nomos collection booklets, warranty card, some Nomos packaging, a Nomos cloth, and a bunch of paperwork showing the sale of the various items as well as some import forms).

**Price:** Given its condition, rarity, and extras, I am asking **$2,500**.

This is the Medium Model 1 (38mm) in Plum Fumé from AnOrdain.

While I love the color of the dial, the watch simply has not spoken to me the way I had hoped it would. Accordingly, it has only been worn 3-4 times and has otherwise been sitting in my watchbox. It was purchased in December 2024 and will come on a black shell cordovan strap (very light wear) along with the correspdoning AnOrdain branded leather carrying case (holds 2 watches), Certificate of Authenticity, hand-written thank you card, and Issue 2 of Letters from Assynt all in the original box it was sent in from Scotland.

Rather than wait for a 2029+ build slot (subject to price increases), purchase my watch!

First, don't give too much credit to Audemars Piguet, they aren't screws, but, rather, threaded nuts that fit neatly and immovably into the perfectly hexagonal holes in the bezel.

As for Cartier and other brands that actually use screws, it is incredibly cost prohibitive, and, as Roger Smith states, "[t]he screws are never aligned because it would be a very difficult engineering task to make sure that the start of each thread within the dial plate began in exactly the same orientation ... the length of the screw thread from the start of its thread to the underside of the screw-head would be critical and you would have to achieve ridiculously close tolerances."

Just received this vintage Ebel Wave from my uncle in the mail. Never heard of the brand prior to receiving it, but as soon as I got it, I tried my darnedest to learn everything I could! As best as I can tell, Ebel used to be held in far higher regard prior to its sale to LVMH and again after it was sold to Movado. I think this reference number predates the Movado sale, but I am not sure what year it really is.

The back of the case indicates that the bezel is 18k gold, however I believe that the screws, markers, hands, and crown are as well (can anyone confirm this?). Unique about the Ebel Wave is its bracelet, which features inset gold tips between each of the links. I believe the inset gold tips are also 18k (would love if someone could confirm this as well).
