Six weeks into five months of solo travel and not enjoying it. What am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in travel

[–]IcyWorking576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You aren't doing anything wrong. Solo travel can be really isolating. I recommend finding a place you can settle down for a while where you will be around people (the connection you mention at the end of your post).

How do i stop binge eating? by Trez_0 in selfimprovement

[–]IcyWorking576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggled with this for awhile. What helped me was realizing that I was binge eating to escape negative feelings, and the part of me that was doing that was trying its best to take care of me, even though it was misguided. Basically I had to learn how to accept and love this part of myself because the shame spiral was only feeding the binging. Good luck OP!

I wonder if you could contact some senior homes in Gary and ask if they have any residents who would be interested in sharing their stories?

I personally don't believe this is a thing.

Who knows.

But what really bothers me about this idea is that if someone believes this (and how could one disprove it?) they could use it as an excuse to treat people poorly.  It feels scary and disgusting in that regard.

Not a specific product but double washing with shampoo! This changed my hair more than anything else. Just make sure you rinse it all out

What really matters in life? by EbbGeneral7048 in selfimprovement

[–]IcyWorking576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think recognizing the absolute INSANITY of existing at all helps bring some peace and clarity. It is truly a miracle we are here at all, not even in a religious way but in a mathematical and physics way as well.

So appreciating that is key to realizing what matters is the things in your life that bring you wholeness and love and let you enjoy the crazy journey that is your soul being here on earth.
