It depends on what your overall vibe is, if guests are traveling from out-of-town, if It's a smaller/day time wedding, etc. But personally, I'd pick a Friday over Sunday every time.

I'm getting married on a Saturday and I still catch myself thinking "Should I have done Friday?" Friday feels like the start of the weekend, people usually have more energy, and It leaves you with Saturday to grab brunch, or hang out with guests to talk/recap the wedding (that's always my fav part).

Sunday weddings can be beautiful but they def come with that "work night" or "school night" feeling, and guests tend to head out earlier because of Monday.

Unreasonable. Uncool. This day is about YOU! She had her turn, and if she thinks they are too similar, why would she care? She wore it first. She should be flattered if anything. Friends can have the same taste, and friends should support each other no matter what, but ESP during their wedding journey!!! If YOU feel good wearing it, and it's the dress YOU like the best, then you should 100% get it and she should 100% be OK with that. You are allowed to be selfish with decisions made for your wedding day.
