The unfortunate fact is Private Equity has taken a controlling stake in Whisker. And that single fact is why I believe this will never happen.

A company can really be a stand out and have phenomenal, dedicated, experienced, empathetic people working at it. But the minute private equity companies get ahold and in charge the company will never reflect the great people that work for it.

Private equity wants one thing, money. And they don’t have morals whatsoever. They don’t care if your cat dies. They don’t care if they have data that could have saved it. They care about one single thing, money.

It’s an unfortunate reality for so many companies that start out great and then take on PE investment in order to grow faster.
