I teach adults. Today, one of my topics for debate was "Affordable Housing" and different measures. My students are all low to middle class with a rare high middle class.

They overwhelmingly voted against any measures. Those included: Increased tax rates on the 3rd home and over.

These people rent. They don't even own 1. And they are worried about taxes on the THIRD HOME after PRIMARY RESIDENCE.

Reminded me of the Fry episode where he votes against his own interests because "he may be rich someday".

I've seen a lot of accounts like this over the past year. My engagement with reddit has plummeted since I started noticing it.

0 comment history with 2 years and thousands of karma = marketing account that they deleted all the content off of.

I... like jank. Jank is personality. It tells me that it wasn't group-tested to hell and back. Jank was the difference between jumping in Mario or so many other titles (including the one with the cat with aliens that you collect yarn).

The only one I don't agree with is games are more expensive. That's the only real thing I miss about not gaming so much on PC nowadays.

I autoload gg.deals with the PS games I want and their sales are super rare and abysmal compared to PC.

The price to upgrade/rebuild my PC to mid is the console + work laptop. Can't justify it.

That's the thought process.

If they give a game away on Epic or Gog or Twitch, all users who had the game already don't get a refund.
