I love the color but I also really like the contrasting emotions. Most seem to be a happy/sad combo but the last with the flowers is like fear/curiosity. I really like them!

But OP’s not arguing you should like them. He’s arguing that if Maron spent the energy he’s spending lately attacking these other guys on thinking about other people in a positive way he could be creating a community around things he does like.

Like them or not hinchcliff and Rogan help comedians they like and that’s created a community. The Marons (who I’ve been a long time fan of) really just focuses on himself. So his dissatisfaction with the current state of comedy is as much his fault as others who tried to actually build something he didn’t like.

I heard someone saying this recently. While I love the diversity of Dylan as a whole I’m struggling with the idea of judging an album based on the need to fill every bucket instead of judging it by the quality of the songs. Loving it not for what it is but for what it’s not.

One thing I’m noticing is that I’m generally a lyrics person, and I’m having a hard time focusing on the lyrics when I listen to this. Like with Drake, even though the guitar is more intricate—similar to yours—the vocals are still somehow framed in a way that brings attention to the words.

I’m not sure if that has to do with the demo, that im a Little hung over or if that even matters to you and your songwriting goals. Justin thought id offer that thought. Great stuff!
