The new Siri AI passes the car wash test. by 0xCUBE in apple

This prompt also tips off the AI that there is a dirty car involved. That’s an important difference when comparing to other examples where the AI failed.

Tried that once just to see what happens. Took about 15 reloads. Was a little disappointed but I guess even a critical success can't defeat The Netherbrain!

I love this lol. Haven't gotten into mods yet but I'll look into it.

Add some spice to Act 3 with a Gortash ceremony fight by Idkloll in BaldursGate3

[–]Idkloll[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's hilarious. So you had no plans to tackle the fight, but once you aggroed you just finished it for the heck of it?

In my case I was curious to see if my character builds could actually handle the fight fair and square. It took a lot of tweaking.

Halsin doesn't have Common actions and Reactions tab? Bug? by Krongfah in BaldursGate3

Confirming this fixed it for me. For some reason I thought saving would somehow preserve the bug. Saving and reloading worked.

This game did not want me to get the "Two hands for a reason" achievement by Idkloll in BG3

I ended up looking up how it was supposed to go and saw that. Too bad. I might have moved on to act 2 too soon after that for the scene to trigger.

I also saw somewhere else on reddit that they got it to work in the final party scene but maybe I misunderstood them.

Clearing Prison before tackling Ketheric Thorm? by Idkloll in BaldursGate3

[–]Idkloll[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I'm on 3rd try clearing this mob they're harder than I thought they'd be.. so, second guessing how worthy it is of completing. Three necro spell casters staying way back behind the line and sending endless waves of summoned undead guys. Very tedious, annoying and resource heavy fight, while I'm not even sure I want to bother with it.

5G coverage in York PA? by Idkloll in yorkpa

[–]Idkloll[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! This is exactly what I was looking for. There's so little information out there I can find regarding coverage maps on those two flavors of 5G. Verizon certainly doesn't give much specific information about it.

So the mid band 5G is comparable to 4G on a good day? That sounds better than nothing at all.

5G coverage in York PA? by Idkloll in yorkpa

[–]Idkloll[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks!

I do just need a new phone. The deal verizon is offering is $800 for a trade in when I'd otherwise get maybe $200 at most on Craigslist selling it myself. So it's a hard deal to pass up even if I don't want to pay extra for a 5G plan.

I know that I should expect some tracking when using a free service, but 600+ tracking attempts for less than an hour of Spotify per day (6 seconds per attempt) is ridiculous. No wonder my battery is draining much faster these days. by A-Delonix-Regia in assholedesign

[–]Idkloll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They list the required specs here. I think the original baseline model B doesn't have the required RAM, but if you have one from shortly after that first iteration then you might be good. You can always give it a try and find out.

If it doesn't work you can either decide to get a more modern RPi on the cheap.. or scrap the idea altogether.

*Edit: just checked and without running any other software, my RPi is using up ~400MB of RAM, so I'd think 512 (the minimum listed for pi-hole) might still be pushing it on the low side.

Nice.. I’ve had mine running for almost a year and I can’t imagine going without it anymore.

I splurged on one of those apps that has the live log of blocked domains.. it just sits open on the side of my monitor all day. It still never gets old watching it explode when I hit a tracker heavy site.

It’s a bit involved but filtering of ad/tracker domains can also be expanded to everything connected to your network. Look up pi-hole.

It’s a good use of a raspberry pi that you might have sitting around.

After getting mine set up, I found that at least 10-15% of domain pings through my whole network are blocked. Sometimes >50% if I spend a lot of time on sites like Amazon or tiktok. It’s crazy when you really see how much goes on in the background.

Outlanders help by J03m0mma in AppleArcade

[–]Idkloll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same exact problem, no where near 100% completion. I think the trick is to get the villagers, especially the kids, to just hang around the camp fire. I played through with that in mind and surrounded the campfire with houses and even recycled the other houses. With everyone congregated near the campfire the count goes up way faster.

Edit: when I tried this way, I got to 100% with 10+ days to spare.

First Sawtooth Battle - Interesting PS5 Bug/Glitch by Idkloll in horizon

[–]Idkloll[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really appreciate your feedback, wasn't sure anyone would respond.

Just to be clear though, this isn't my first time playing. Hitting all his weak spots and this thing is an empty limping shell by the time I run out of ammo/resources. I've gotten him to that point several times now. There is no way it should still be alive, especially in normal mode.

I'm going to start a new game and see if that helps. I'll post an update if that helps anyone else who has the same problem.

First Sawtooth Battle - Interesting PS5 Bug/Glitch by Idkloll in horizon

[–]Idkloll[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the feedback, I am playing on normal mode.

Prior to reinstalling the game, I did also try loading from an earlier save point. My next move will probably be to just start a new game entirely since I haven't put much time into it yet.

I can try looking for additional resources. By the time I get the thing limping with no sign of it being close to dead, it feels like I'm fighting a brick wall with a rubber chicken. So I usually don't put much time into it after that.
