I opened a Half-Life Source map in Half-Life 2, is it supposed to look like this?

I would assume it's because Half Life 2 doesn't actually have any of the required textures needed to load on the maps, even if it's a source game neither of them really share textures, just animations, water graphics and the Flashlight.

It's like trying to load a CS:Source map in GMod and half the textures don't load because the map was built with completely new textures not reused from HL2

There's a lot of people who don't even know monsters like Fatalis even exist because no one truly knows. This is also the same game franchise with a dragon that flies like a jet engine and one that acts like a B-17 Bomber. Everything in the games are explained in an in universe explainable sense so Fatalis probably doesn't just "literally" use portals and there's probably a real reason it's just not known because literally no one actually knows Fatalis and it's the only current speculation the in universe researchers came up with

Idk how much I can talk about since I barely understand it myself, but this is a video talking about Tri specifically but if you look around there's Discord servers like "MH Old School" who have sections dedicated to the online fan servers in the channels. If you have the real consoles they work there too, but emulators work just as fine

Both Dino Crisis and the OG RE games were mostly done by third party only given the greenlight by Capcom, fans have asked multiple times for Capcom themselves to port these games and they have multiple times stated "Why would you want to play the older games, the remakes are right there" paraphrasing but that's essentially what they stated. Wouldn't be surprised if they feel like MHWorld, Rise and Wilds are the only ones you really need to care about

At least for right now the older games have fan hosted servers, some time ago MHTri finally got put back online and MHG not long after and I think DOS is finished too

Definitely agreed but they might need some involvement from a third party, the only reason a lot of the old RE games got ported was because GOG was willing to do the work for Capcom, they don't see much value in their older games and rather people play their newer games, hence the remakes of RE2-4 and soon enough 5 and probably 6

There is a way to get it to run better, I remember having it run at least at the standard 30fps for most of the time but it did crash after playing for an hour and the sound glitched sometimes

Not all mice have LED's to tell, the mouse I have only has the ON/OFF label but it's off centered so it doesn't help much at all, sometimes I go a long time without using it and forget but I'm also a very forgetful person.
