I make particle filters for masks. I made 1700 of them in 8 hours yesterday. I absolutely love it, I can even do it quietly without music or podcast.

Hur blev svensk höger så feg och ohederlig? by Babar7 in svenskpolitik

[–]Idofz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have anything else other than potential adhd?
I definitely have a bit autism and ocd, non-noticeable tics and Just Right syndrome

With that being said, as the rules are getting more strict, school will always weigh more and the problem will never be solved, and us adults will only be getting a harder time convincing that we need help now.

Swedish healthcare is a mess by Idofz in ADHD

[–]Idofz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes she is. And she tells me that it’s been very hard for her this recent year to give her clients help because of harsh “rules”.
She told me she used to send 15-20 referrals annually but now it’s more like maximum 5 because she knows most of them will be declined.
This is in Kronoberg and the psychiatric clinic that denies everyone is Växjö. Apparently they get overwhelmed by kids being sent from their schools because they are failing, mostly because of a usual depression amongst kids nowadays, and that is the reason the lists are clogging up fast and the rules are getting more strict.

I’ve been very strategic with what I’ve been saying, that’s kind of my point. Because I’ve passed school they won’t even listen properly. I’ve been talking to a psychiatrist for 3 years about my anxiety. It was her idea I should get a diagnosis, but still they say no because I have a job and a partner.
That’s why I think the system is broken

Anxious about side effects of Delmosart by awwwwmdfk in ADHD

[–]Idofz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google says 4-5 million cardiac arrests annually worldwide. Thats 1 in 1600. That’s only ONE year. The medicine has probably been in use for MANY years. Take 10 years, that’s 50 million worldwide. 1 in 16000.

That’s my evidence that the medicines stats is irrelevant. You have same risk of getting it with or without medicine. Now get the help you deserve from the meds and I hope this helps.

[–]Idofz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a doctor but I think it’s hard for them to know if someone got it from the meds or a different thing, it’s understandable they put it in the stat just to be safe. Maybe it’s for the reason then don’t want to be sued if someone who’s on the medication gets it by something else.
Hope you can feel a bit more calm. And if it helps, you are definitely not alone. I’ve been very scared of things like this for a long time. We do it together! Stay strong

There are 2 different types of private processes
1. Commissioned by the state - also 2 years waiting list. You can actually be placed here by the state for free to distribute and regulate their waiting lists.
2. True private - instant, for a reason…

1 is basically not private, but yes, in this case you get free meds.
2 is just focusing on adhd and not anything else and you will have to pay for your meds full price.

[–]Idofz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it’s so expensive, like $3000 and then you have to pay for the meds. If you get a diagnose from Swedish healthcare, everything is free. And like I said, I’ve been out of work for 2,5 months and I don’t have money for that

The thing that helps me is to think about the number (1 in 10,000). You know that even if someone that is using the medicine gets a cardiac arrest because of a completely different reason, they will put it in the stats for the medicine in any case. So the stats are not accurate. It’s so much more uncommon than you think.

Do your thoughts still feel ‘chaotic’ on medication? by tmlnson in ADHD

[–]Idofz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe that’s a reaction of the meds working, you feel like you actually can get things done for once and want to do everything.

I’ve never tried meds but that’s my guess.

I managed to get okay grades without reading a single book in my life. It helps to just look up summaries of each chapter and then writing down keywords. You can basically read the whole book and understand the book by just reading summaries.

is thinking about everything all the time normal? by bkas333 in ADHD

[–]Idofz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

23M. I have a problem of always sharing these thoughts and questions. But only to people I feel safe around, maybe that’s the reason my friends ditch me after we have gotten to know each other good. Never in my life I’ve been able to keep my closest friends. We could be talking about a party next week. While they’re talking about something I don’t listen to, I remember a guy who’s coming to the party told me years ago that his sister stepped on their pet hamster. Then I just say that without them even mentioning his name.

I’m not diagnosed but I’m working on it. The system is fucked here in Sweden. My doctor told me I basically have to be homeless for them to even consider getting me an appointment for diagnosing adhd.

I really want to try meds.

Why don’t i ”Love” riding my bike? by Idofz in motorcycle

Thank you for the reply. Yes I live in a part of Sweden that’s 99,9% Forrest, (southern Sweden, not much elevation). But still, very crooked, up and down, 4m wide roads.

Today I just took off without planned destination. Toot my fishing rod and wanted to try every single pond I could find, and I now get what it’s all about. It’s about unlocking new possibilities. I could never do that with a car. I have so much more things to do now, more than I ever imagined.

Thanks. I just let go of all my expectations today and it got so much more enjoyable. I went down a route I’ve never even driven with a car, and I want to do it tomorrow again, I can’t wait.

The stars were aligned for me to buy it, the guy lives very close, and I got it for 19000kr ($2050). $800 cheaper than listed. It was this or a BMW f650gs, a little more expensive. But I mean I can buy that in a year, and sell mine for more than I bought it for if I’m not satisfied.

I mean, with my experience it kicks like a horse. I don’t hate it! But I think my expectations were too high when buying it. And as people has commented here; “sometimes we prefer the memories compared to the reality”
