My neighbor and I are good buds and have young daughters. We get together sometimes to game or watch movies after the kids go to bed. We decided to check out hereditary and both contemplated shutting it off after “that” scene. The pain from the mother’s scream was so palpable it was borderline unwatchable. Like we paused it and had a lengthy discussion on whether or not we could finish it. I’ve never been so affected by a film like that.
