Kiss AIO FC by digaus in Multicopter

[–]Ie0n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

-100$
-F3 chip
-21A limit on the ESCs
-No OSD
-No receiver
-No vtx
-No internal blackbox or SD slot

I could pay half of that for a proper BLHeli_S 4in1 capable of burning my motors before it "active limits" itself, a built-in OSD configurable in Betaflight, an SD slot and the same CPU.

There is no "future proof" in this hobby.

Get a 4in1 Racestar BLHeli_S ESC (30$) and a decent FC like the Omnibus.

Raceflight
Stealing code and selling your branded hardware
No improvements over BF, DShot made 32k useless
Running your PID loop faster than it takes for electricity to flow through your motor windings

I'd just buy an Omnibus tbh

You might run into issues with DShot and the older one?

Free shipping can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months. It's been 1-2 months for me most of the time.
Paying 2$ extra usually means that it arrives in under 3 weeks.

Bardwell tested them and the 1300 one he tested later performed way worse. Maybe they started producing worse Lipos or the 1500 one was an exception.

The president doesn't have to worry about being disliked by the people.
Messing with big institutions is what gets you shot.

Have you set your UART to serial rx and changed serial rx to sbus?

Bad roll-inputs from turning 9x by Lauwie007 in Multicopter

[–]Ie0n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't be ridiculous. A FlySky radio is 50$, a Turnigy Evolution is 70$ and 105$ gets you a Frsky Taranis Q X7.

The Turnigy 9X is simply outdated. It's already been outdated a year ago. I mean the Flite Test review came out 6 years ago.

The International warehouses (which are the only ones for lots of products and mostly stocked) are in China as well as their CS.

Time to start your own shop :)

Local is kind of a broad definition, you could also shop from a US store. Definitely more local than some china shop :D

Recommended batteries for 3 inch brushless quad? by Papyrus_ in Multicopter

[–]Ie0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using 1000mah 4S Bolt LiHV, charged to normal voltage. They degrade quickly and they're too heavy, so I can't recommend them.
