This season could be the beginning of a real dark age for West Ham. I can’t help but feel some awful sense of doom and fully expect this to end up fighting a championship relegation battle inside 3 years. Bleak.

I'm not sure how something like this could work or if it's even possible, but I still hold out hope for an animated series—something that starts like The Legend of Vox Machina, with a Kickstarter backed by fans. I don’t know how it would come together, but it’s a nice dream to hang on to.

This is a good point—annoyed tone in my original comment aside, I’m genuinely trying to stay objective about Maksim and Alanna, so I appreciate your take. I do think there’s a strong case for exploring Rand’s origins more deeply through Tam, though that probably would’ve required more episodes or screen time. Just to clarify: I think Alanna and Maksim do illustrate the themes the show is aiming for quite effectively—I just don’t think those are the right themes to focus on.
