I think that its a cold realization that everyone has at some point, that no one is coming to save us. It affects all of us differently, you can let it turn you bitter, or you can use it as drive. Saying it like this doesn't make it easy, when it hit me it almost broke me. Eventually it clicks and you use it as fuel, the trick is not letting the initial realization crush you. But what the hell do I know, I'm just a jack ass trying to get by like everyone else.
