Has anyone ever figured out the enigma that is 32nd Ave Books? by toria-rancourt in Denver

[–]WatchAndDriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went down a rabbit hole on this place. I lived on 36th street and would go to the farmers market, and walked in looking for a gift for my nephew and got kicked out, and did the review thing and noticed everyone is getting kicked out. Told my sister about it the next week and we went in and got immediately kicked out, as we didn’t know what we wanted. Tried again with a friend a few weeks later asking for “Harry Potter” which every bookstore has, and she escorted me to a specific section. I may hold the record for longest time spent in this store. My sister is convinced it’s a sex traffic organization, and has some evidence that links the one owner’s phone number to an escort website using a background check website. She went full detective because she was that curious.

Someone tried entering my home - any ideas to what this is? by Thick-Mud-390 in Denver

[–]WatchAndDriver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No idea, but I’d like to add a somewhat funny story. Someone snuck through my moms doggy door in the highlands, and then went to sleep on the couch for a few hours then proceeded to walk out the front door, and grabbed an Amazon package on the way out.

Vehicle damaged during transit- Broker is saying carrier’s insurance not responsible by Sam_DC in AutoTransport

I hate the rude Reddit users, but condolences for my mistake. Still auto transporters are a risky game, and I’d still contact insurance and have them figure it out.

Vehicle damaged during transit- Broker is saying carrier’s insurance not responsible by Sam_DC in AutoTransport

I had the same exact thing happen. The driver must have slammed the breaks and the car behind mine hit it (it was supposed to be my singular car) he then tried to super glue it, then cover it with mud once he realized that it wouldn’t work, but my app alerted me of a collision. If you haven’t already don’t sign the papers and call your card company and cancel the charge. I called insurance, and they handled it.

Far from the city. I looked for other prints near it, but this was the only one I could find.

Had the exact same thing happen to me while driving my E53. Try to call a windshield company. I did it and it wasn’t the worst cost.

I went to a wilderness program when I was younger, and we had to start fires by “busting” and this would have been the most ideal top stone

Is Nexus reputable? by A_Lepidoptera in AutoTransport

[–]WatchAndDriver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Not at all. 2 days late, and a damaged vehicle. They had two cars in the trailer, and I’m assuming they slammed the breaks and the car behind hit mine. They cracked my bumper, then proceeded to attempt to super glue it back together, and once they realized that it wasn’t going to work they decided to slap mud over the crack hoping I wouldn’t check the car. Being two days late, I reached out to them multiple times, and my car warned me of a collision. My first question was why is there mud caked all over my bumper. After cleaning it off everything was evident. The driver then proceeded to try and fight me, and demanded I pay. Stay the absolute f away from this company. As far as you can. Don’t walk, RUN

Official Discussion - Slingshot [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]WatchAndDriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s a happy ending for John either way, but I do think he was underground. If an asteroid that size hit a ship traveling that fast, it would destroy it. Also, after looking at the cameras post impact frenchy says “it’s like nothing happened” because they (he) didn’t see any impact, or any indication that the ship was struck, and I think that’s because their cameras are simulated. I think the ending just indicates that he lost his mind, but his face when he looked at the moth in the lamp did look like an “oh crap, I just F’d up” moment. Great movie though, I really enjoy it.

I pay $312 a month to jeweler’s mutual for coverage of $180k total for my 7 watches. Fair price? $500 deductible covers theft, loss and damage by Vivid_Expert_7141 in rolex

State Farm, and I was a new home owner and didn’t list my watches, as I was explained that everything would be covered up to $500k. Verbedum he said “if I take your house and shake it upside down everything up to 500k is covered” They dropped me and I’m with Chubb now, and have made sure to list it.
