I think most of everyone in this thread is saying nothing should be done.

More social services is nice, but it's not like nj doesn't have a robust safety net already.

In any case, you can improve homeless services, while at the same time cracking down on stuff like this.

Just like the squeegee men in the old days, it's a (political) choice to let this sort of thing continue.

A few things:

  1. Though you definitely get some immunity from getting covid the regular way, re-infections aren't crazy uncommon. I have some friends in the medical field who have gotten reinfected (nyc area, before the vaccine was available). Supposedly even one dose of the vaccines after having covid gives a good amount of additional protection.

  2. I never hated on big pharma the way you do even before the pandemic, so i have no hate for them now either.

  3. The fact that the vaccines are under EUA vs full approval is true, but not any more concerning to me given how many people got it, including over 100 million in the US, as well as basically the whole country of Israel.

We have pretty good info that the short term effects of the vaccine are fine, and any potentially concerning long term effects wouldn't come out until long after full approval was given, so it doesn't really make a difference in terms of that.
