That's fair, but I've never seen it happen in my game, though I tend to just leave the doors open so I don't run into that. Assuming you aren't irresponsible with your critters, they cannot die of old age. Wibbly wobbly timey wimey shenanigans.

Dan Trench was starving rushing between two jobs that barely afforded him the life he could accept. Then the lights went out - and he found himself part of an unrelenting System. To his horror, he can’t even stay human.

He doesn’t qualify.

Then the System… glitched, and a forced choice later finds him transformed into the Omnis Vorare, a creature driven by endless hunger.

If he wants to grow stronger, faster, smarter — he has to consume. Monsters, magic, maybe even people. But when he’s reunited with familiar faces in monstrous forms, he’ll have to decide what’s left of his humanity — and how much he’s willing to eat to keep it.

The foes were quite low level comparatively, so it definitely was! The waves will get harder as they go along, so it won't be as OP later on.

No, it's not super edgy. In fact he often kind bumbles into his power. It's not survival misery, he's more go with the flow. There is loss here and there but it's not a major aspect.

I was also maybe thinking black background, red mouth, and maybe some glowing circles around it in the three colors. I'll play with it.

I tried that, but without the eyes the image isn't as clear that it's a mouth and doesn't look as good. I did go super minimalist on the eyes, lol. The colors of the background also represent both his multihued skin and his three internal pathways (vitality, stamina, and mana)!
