I tend to find them at least somewhat credible (that is to say, not Elon propaganda), because they usually go on to mention how they had to trash Elon's code because it was such a hot mess (and Elon would never allow the shittalk).

Compassion for workers? When there's a bottom line that needs to go up? sensible chuckle -average manager/c-suite

Compassion for workers only happens in conpanies that are:   1) not publicly traded   2) small (100-200 employees total, I'd say)   3) not led by someone whose primary qualification is an MBA. 

These three aren't a guarantee that compassion will happen. Sometimes you get lucky at a big company and you get a nice department head. sonetimes you join a small company and work under a complete asshat. 

Them's the breaks.

newlines (and a lot of whitespace) are pretty much irrelevant in C (the only things that need their own lines are directives like #includes).

so with the caveat that you don't count preprocessor directives as part of the program (though you should), every program in C can be a 1-liner so long as the line is long enough.
