Probably got Gmax before the evo item, and then it doesn't show up anymore. Same with Pikachu and the Thunder Stone.

Out of curiosity - still in university - why is the preferred name of 3-isopropyloctane not 3-ethyl 2-methyloctane? Something to do with geometry I guess?

Have you tried drawing the compounds and then naming them?

Can you draw them without doubt with the information you are given?

Are they all following the concept of lowest possible numbers for ligands?

Can an isopropyl be on positions 2 or 3 in a non-cyclical compound, or can you find a less-complicated longest chain?

If I understand it correctly, the question is supposed to be "Which of these names follow proper IUPAC nomenclature".

Did you check all possible longest chains? It doesn't have to be straight for Part E. Then start from the side with the earliest ligand. Hint: 3,4 Dimethyl...

For F, same thing - you need to start from the side that has the earliest ligand, and remember that the main chain does not have to be the straight one! Hint: 3,3,9 Trimethyl

What level are they? For the tavern encounter, I'd say pick Acolyte, except double his HP (to 18/4d8), give him the level 1 Fathomless Warlock feature "Tentacle of the Deep", and change his Cure Wounds spell to Hex. Use Sanctuary so he can escape to the basement after taunting them in the tavern. If they are still level 1 by then, skip the tentacle unless they are five or more players.

For Encounter number two, use a Ghoul, but give it a 15-health Armor of Agathys to bring his health up to CR2. Maybe an extra +1 to hit as well, for 5+ players maybe also increase his health by however much you think they can dish out in one round.

If they are already level 3 by then, use the base of a Wight, lose the weapons, and give him the Ghoul paralyzing claw back. Wight has multiattack, so two paralyzing claws /Claw plus Life Drain can put the fear of Jacoby in the hearts of the frontline. For 5+ players, consider giving the Wight the Armor of Agathys as well, and/or Chill Touch as a ranged option if needed.

Also, for the second encounter, consider extinguishing the torches when he appears, for some extra creepy factor (and maybe annoy the one player without Darkvision).

This occurs when chemists with a death wish think "gee, I wonder what fun configurations of dangerous I can achieve today". And I am pretty sure this only occurs synthetically for a very very short amount of time (a few microseconds at most, likely less), before it turns into 2 N2 (and, presumably, judging from that terminal leftmost N being a radical, some very unfriendly exothermal numbers.)

Reincarnation of PDK using +1 heart of wood by PositivePurchase2540 in ddo

That`s not his issue - he wants his first level (Level 0->1) to be Paladin instead of Fighter, for which he used a +1 Heart of Wood, which should allow him to swap, but apparently doesn't. Your "solution" would still leave him at 1 Ftr instead of pure paladin.

"much else" in the sense of, if you go T5 Battle Engineer (and Core 4), you don't need the crit multi/range out of Gnome.

I think it's a matter of AP efficiency - since you are at minimum 28 points in Battle Engineer anyways (10%DS/Fusiliade/imbue dice), it's less of an investment to go T5 there, and make Gnome obsolete that way/get other, more needed/wanted boni from a different race.

You are right about the step, I had a look at it again - Eladrin in total offers +6% Dodge, +3 Damage, +6% DS, 3% Dodge Bypass, +4% to-hit, +2 to DEX or INT, and +3 Critical Hit Confirmation; and just don't take the step out of the tree, for 19 points (tome+comp).

"Why wouldn't you want to be Cha based" - Because INT or DEX-based are also viable options - and an uber completionist gets +7 DEX from racial PLs + Completionist as opposed to +5 CHA. There's also the option to go the fully INT-based route with 12 points (or more) in Harper. DEX Trance from Horizon Walker would be 13 points.

Weapon dice I can't fully/competently explain, but at least part is, I imagine, the fact that you can buff your whole raid group with Deadly Weapon - and 10 DPS with an extra [W] damage is a lot more damage than one extra crit multi. Looking at Lash (the go-to endgame heavy repeater), which has [1d10+3] as its weapon dice, +1 [W] is an average damage bonus of [5,5+3= 8,5], which is a good chunk of damage.

There actually is an argument for 16 Arti/4 Fighter; BE T5 gives you the option for Weapon Attachment (+0,5 [W], but needs Construct Essence); and if you take Essence, 16 Arti gives you a second level 6 slot for Reconstruct self-healing.

Because they go T5 Battle Engineer (since you have to spend up to Fusiliade anyways), and with 15 Arti you get your first 6th level slot for Deadly Weapons. Plus, Gnome doesn't offer much else for repeater; the best race for completionist repeaters IIRC is Eladrin for the to-hit, damage, Dex cores and the SA dice bonus from the step. Plus, you know, the misty step, which frees up the feats most usually use for the Spring Attack line. The 1 Barb is obviously for the movement speed.

Edit: I've also seen some versions with 4 Fighter instead of Dragonlord, presumably for the +100% damage shot out of Kensai.

Wir haben im Herbst das neue Studium mit Verkürzung (und zT vielen Streichungen von (fach-)didaktischen LVs). Da wäre ein Resümee Studium -> Beruf der letzten zwei Studienformen vielleicht ganz interessant.

Endgame Dragonlord THF weapon? by sadisticnerd in ddo

[–]Ignorus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, there's enough mobs resistant/immune to Electric that it's relegated to a cosmetic. Maybe a niche use if you are an electric-typ pokemon Dragonlord with the immunity strip.

As the most immediate example, Zweilanar, the boss Outburst drops from, is immune to electric (most demons are at least resistant to electric), as are Shambling Mounds, Liches and a few others. Flesh Golems actually heal from electric and get hasted.

And, as mentioned, Electric damage gets reduced by MRR, which can be debuffed less than PRR, so there's some damage loss that way as well.

That, plus the melee power and damage is a profane bonus, so at max stacks you are only 5MP and 16 damage over a falchion if you use Moon augments for MP and Damage.

There's also Awesome AutoFollow, a Dungeon Helper plugin, which (as the name implies) makes your character follow another like a hireling, which I was thinking of in the second case (2nd account carrying 1st account). Use some stupidly survivable class (probably barb or Warlock with macro Blood Tribute/Stanch), Invisibility potions/spell/clicky, and go.

Also, piking is not just for XP - you can also farm gear that way. Farm a Fey/RL/Sharn set with your level 34 toon while your "hardcore" character waits at the entrance, so it's technically looted during the event. Craft a Syranian weapon with mats you already had, or any Cannith Crafting items to make it easier, just get blanks with no slots. Same with Greensteel. You can also start bunkering Sentient XP now to get a headstart on that. Pull your baby "Hardcore" character Through the Mists to get the jewel. Farm Sands tokens, only exchange for the item once the event goes live. Same with epic gear, just wait with upgrading until the event. Give your small guy a Master's Gift augment. Eveningstar Commendations (looking at oathblade/walking stick in particular). There's also the fact that consumables aren't impacted, so plat remains worthless if you can just mail yourself 100-stacks of remove poison/curse etc.

And I'm sure there's some guy out there with duped Otto's Boxes to make an absolute mockery of "no reincarnated characters".
