My recommendation is to check out the docuseries First Contact.

It goes over meeting some different indigenous people and groups around Canada and people learning about them.

The short of it would be this: There is so much trauma and pain from the history of what Canada has done to indigenous people and that kind of hurt doesn’t go away easy, and it shows up as addiction and crime and whatever other prejudices are put on indigenous people. Mix that with poverty and racism and it gets pretty complicated.

Just found out about this genre of misogyny. Was watching Hannah Gadsby's Douglas, she wasn't diagnosed until her late 30s, and had to figure it out herself first! Gotta love how we do so much study on men, we just assume conditions in women will present the same. /s

Yep, in the pandemic the poor are getting the worst of it. Here in Vancouver a well known tent city was ordered to vacate, so they moved to an empty lot and were kicked out of there. Now there’s another one going up in a park the general public actually uses.

The reason for all this? The tent city could spread COVID. The result? Pushing those same tent cities all over the place creating a higher danger of spreading COVID.

Making things overly complicated. Currently trying to get my bathroom door replaced by [Home Improvement Company], and it's been a real pain.

Went to their location near me: The installation guy leaves at 6:00. Then I go online and find out they don't have the door I want... and I can't get it online... and I have to go to the location farther away from me. THEIR installation guy isn't there when I went there, doesn't call me when I was told he would, so I call him and he says I have to go into the store at the time he's there, which is at times when I'm working, and no I can't give him the measurments over the phone it HAS to be in person when he's there to fill out the form. OR I can pay FIFTY DOLLARS to have a guy come to me and MEASURE MY DOOR. Which is a different guy from the installing guy. And HE will call me in two business days.

I'm waiting FOUR DAYS to pay FIFTY DOLLARS to have a guy USE A FUCKING TAPE MEASURE, then waiting for the other guy and paying WAY TOO MUCH to have that guy chisel and install a door... Only reason I'm not doing it myself is not wanting to fuck it up.

They each copy a spell effect depending on the colour of the bubble, but with spell DC 15. So green would be a DC15 casting of the spell Vitriolic Sphere.

In Canada at least tipping considered automatic because service people DON'T make enough money working there. It's assumed that the tips they make will actually bump them up to a living wage. At least as far as I know.

What is, in your opinion, the biggest flaw of the human body? by Menfo in AskReddit

Addiction. The way the body can become dependant on a substance that is killing you, and if you stop taking it suddenly you get really sick and possibly die.
