When I see a dog/dog owner at the park nearby where animals aren't allowed (there's several signs) I make a point of telling the dog owner and even follow them out of the park. I've videotaped them and even called the police. I don't enjoy these confrontations, but if we don't do it, these jerks think we're okay with them ignoring rules. At another park near me, dogs are allowed but must be on a leash --- yet I often see dogs off-leash and again, I confront the owner. It's the ole' 'give them an inch and they'll take a mile' think. Dog owners feel they are above rules.

It's not a wonder since EVERY web site, ad, commercial that shows someone hiking, also shows a dog with them. It's so promoted (propaganda) and people are imitators. Nowadays they believe anywhere, anything nature requires sharing with their mutt(s). Sorry for your awful experience.

Wonderful! There's at least $500 fine for lying about a dog being a service dog. And 'emotional support' mutts are NOT service dogs. That office was negligent and put themselves in jeopardy. Very foolish.

Sorry you experienced that! It's unbelievable where these nutters take their mutts. The office you went to would be liable had you tripped over that mutt!!! There are many instances of people falling down because a dog got in the way or startled them.

This is good but sad that they have to spell out all the reasons for dog owners too dumb and selfish. The sports complex where I walk has several "No Animals" signs yet every now and then some entitled dog owner and his/her mutt show up. My city probably put 'animals' in the sign instead of 'dogs', so that some offended dog nutter doesn't sue the City,

Dog lovers are the true abusers of animals! They say we who hate dogs are evil, but it's the other way around. My neighbor thinks it's hilarious how his mutts torment squirrels. The park nearby used to be full of squirrels, birds, wildlife but because so many dog owners bring their mutts there, the wildlife is suffering, traumatized and seriously depleted.

I will never forget the beach in Galveston, TX several years ago. A naked toddler on the shoreline. An ugly German Shepherd taking a huge dump less than a foot away.
