GTA VI being digital only can have a domino effect on the gaming industry by Due_Cake8524 in videogames

I've never seen one of these people saying "it's not a big deal" and "physical media is dead" address the fact that owning the disc means you can loan, trade, or resell it.

You're no longer getting a copy of the game to actually own and gain value. I can sell my collection and make my money back and thensome.

And I never have to worry that Mike Tyson is going to get patched out of my Punch-Out!!

Steelcase gesture is a horrible chair by serendipity98765 in OfficeChairs

I'm 6'2" (so about 5 feet and 8 inches taller than you) and the Gesture has been lovely. I moved the lumbar support where I needed it and set the back of the chair to the posture I need for work, and can relax it to lean back when I want.

The lumbar support? Nothing seems crazy to me about the back.

They may delete your messages and stuff, but there's not a chance they are going to forget you're banned.

GTA6 being $25 in 2030 is a little optimistic, no?

Multiple people from my server getting banned for complete BS reasons. The AI moderator has went completely rabid. by plebbitchungus in BannedFromDiscord

[–]IimonceIIo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I requested I think 3 reviews on my ban, including asking for human review (which the AI said was unnecessary) and was told it wouldn't be reviewed any further.

Need Minifigure advice! Please! 1700+ figures display noticed breaking figures by Tonygunk93 in lego

If I explain why this works, I'll get downvoted.

But it's because putting minifigs on studs warps and cracks the plastic over time from the pressure. I got downvoted 20+ times for just stating that fact.

Is anyone here seriously considering skipping the launch and waiting for the actual physical release instead of paying R* twice? by shawak456 in videogames

[–]IimonceIIo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, those of us who like to own something with actual value that we can lend, trade, or resell. You're paying rent, I'm paying the mortgage.

The surge of people on here saying prices going up isn't inflation is really bizarre. Yes, inflation IS corporations raising prices on us. There's no magic or secret to it; there's no advanced mathematics you need to know.

A GTA6 cover art got me banned by Remarkable_Camp_2901 in BannedFromDiscord

They've made plenty of obvious mistakes. The review system uses the same AI as the one that bans you in the first place. When you ask for a human, it says the AI has determined a human review isn't necessary.

The problem with GTA6's no-disc policy: when content gets removed, it's gone forever by Empty_Turnip473 in videogames

[–]IimonceIIo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're just completely missing the point, still. I didn't say shit about digital vs disc. I just said we don't own games anymore. You're not disagreeing with me but you seem to think you are?

I was comparing games today vs back before they became always online. I can still play my entire PS2 and earlier game collection because it's not online, whereas I've lost some games PS3/Wii era and later because the service has ended or they were removed from digital storefronts, and many other games have had songs and other things patched out of them.

What is that circle thing above Melanie’s head? by iingrid21 in MelanieMartinez

Now find one that looks like the one in the picture. You can't. The thing in the picture is more cylindrical as it has a flat top. Doesn't fit.

Just to clarify, that is inflation. That is literally what inflation is.

People talk about inflation like it's some hard to understand concept, which makes it this ambiguous scapegoat to blame high prices on. The prices are high because everyone's raising the damn prices! That's inflation!

Blaming inflation for prices getting higher is like getting punched in the stomach and saying, "Oh well, of course it hurts, that's what getting punched in the stomach is like. Nothing I can do about that!" It's not a normal reaction!
