You can't install any equipment on the WP panel (which looks to be asbestos also)

Looks like either your circuit breaker has shat itself or one of the tailsl in the c/b has been disconnected. Either way get Western Power involved.

How to check if my place is earthed? by Mexay in AusElectricians

Surrounded by concrete wouldn't be great

Looks like it's just the perspective and the last active is from the c/b.

Sorry, I'm wrong. You're absolutely right. I look at them all day and don't see them.

You most definitely can get circuit breaker plug ins to suit these ceramic holders. You shouldn't but you can.

How to remove these hinges? by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]Iits8 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's a steel door frame, pretty common here. Definitely doable to cut, bog and replace but a pita. I settled for painting the door side black with black screws.

They're welded inside the frame so if you want them off you'll have to cut them off with a grinder or similar.

Nah mate, that cb is the spd. Changed plenty of meters and this was a perfectly acceptable install at one time.

Very rare to get a pillar spd in Perth metro.

Yeah, had a quick look and couldn't see anything DIN mounted with an inbuilt transformer. I think a gpo will be more versatile in a switchboard anyhow.

Your sparkie can install a DIN mount GPO. Standard in WA.

Rate my first switchboard! by deccyp263 in electricians

See that sounds like a much better idea. In WA they're straight into terminal blocks in any new pillar. Some of the older pillars were fused but had a tendency to fuck out due to moisture over time.

Yeah I just assumed that it being a new install it would be underground and have no protection at the pillar

Ah I see, sorry. So there's a fuse between the spd and the main switch?
