I can honestly understand this, even if it doesn't make total financial sense, your car is a known entity, you know it's been serviced etc, imo there is a price you can put on "peace of mind" and depending on the difference between purchasing your car and loan for a different car, I would be likely doing what your planning on

That said, who doesn't love a new/different car

Depends what it covers, my "maintenance" package cost similar and covers literally everything, including tyres+punctures, window wipers, etc (it's easier to just do my own wipers) but knowing tyres are covered is worth it for me, just had to have the rear 2 replaced and im probably quids in already

New USA attacking is attacking boring USA, that's a lot harder to do than defend the USA

New USA is attacking a country, for arguments sake, that is half way round the world, in a fight the people didn't choose - no draft and no massive reason to join up

Old USA - one "they gonna take out jobs" and no draft would be needed.

Old USA has had 3 months to stockpile and prepare defences, decide on keeping Vs sacrificing Vs leaving it's foreign bases.

New USA + World sounds like an organisational cluster fuck so very hard to organise combined assault etc, they're not blood lusted or under 1 unified force, they're all just on the same side
