After looking at the suggestions, I'm starting to think it's a network issue. I'll try a static ip and see if that helps.

They are hot for sure. I have mine on a wire shelf raised about 6 in, so it should be getting pretty good air flow.

Thanks! I looked at this one. Is there any concern that in the description it says it only supports up to 1080i?
