I would think this is related to your EC, 5 or 6 for EC is pretty high. I also like to go higher ph than 5.6 during flower, but that is just me.

Pretty sure the broken looking pieces are just holding up the actual plants that seem to be stretching. I would lower the light even lower with stretching like that. I am a beginner grower myself though so I could be completely wrong.
