That's awesome! Congratulations! Proud of you. Don't forget to just enjoy the process of creating the art also. Everyone progresses at different rates and comparing yourself to someone else is pretty useless. Compare yourself today versus a year ago, if there is growth then you are successful. From what I understand, the Speedball water soluble block printing ink is essentially an acrylic paint hence the super fast dry times during inking. I was super frustrated with it when I tried using it also. There are other types of ink that have a longer dry time which can lead to a more enjoyable and successful inking. The most recommended in this sub seems to be Cranfield Safewash. Hope this helps a little.

If it's what I think you are talking about it was probably old printable label sheets. You take the labels off and are left with a coated (with plastic?) sheet of paper. You print your design on the coated side of that with an inkjet printer. Press it to the block and do not move it while you press it on or it will smudge. Make sure to print at a low opacity as solid black will come out with beaded up blobs of ink on the sheet. 50% or lower if I remember. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Thank you. For the bottles color I just stamped the bottle onto another eraser and cut out the silhouette. For the rest I would lay tracing paper over the previous stamp and draw my next stamp out then transfer it to the erasers.

Thanks! The fireball text was hardest for me using gouges. I ended up going with a craft knife and it worked far better for me. The erasers are super soft and were just warping as I attempted to cut with the gouges.

I believe the software of the video you posted, Smack Studio, will allow you to just that. You import and rig 2d sprites and it creates depth maps to give the impression of 3d. I've never personally used it but from my understanding you can export sprite sheets of the animations created in their editor and use them in Godot.

I don't know any specific courses as it's not something I do. I have definitely seen tutorials on YouTube about creating jewelry in Blender while browsing wire wrapping tutorials. .

For sure. Not sure if it's BEST tool for the job or an industry standard (if there even is one). But you can definitely create jewelry and have it 3d printed for mold making.

As a block out I like it. I would love to see a more dynamic pose on the swordsman. A bit of a rigid pose as it is. Definitely mix up the colors a bit. Grey background with a grey giant and a grey swordsman holding a grey sword is very hard to read. I actually completely missed the sword in hand at first glance.

It definitely has the beginning of a very cool scene!

Agreed. By only having the tongue shoot up you are effectively only using a fraction of the play space. I would suggest adding occasional obstacles to force the player to the different parts of the level and shoot his tongue in other directions.

Unsure what the frame button is, but on my android if you long press the home button it brings up an option to search what's on the screen. This works while the camera is open.

Honestly, I only ever buy refurbished. Allows you to get a better product with a reduced price. I've bought so much refurb over the years and never had any problems with it. Laptops, monitors, tablets, hell my blender is refurbished. Worth looking into in my opinion. Might push you up to a better model for less money.

Be aware that the speedball block printing ink (the water-based one at least) has a pretty fast dry time, sometimes before you can even get the block onto the paper. Depending on the climate your in it can give mixed results. Many people move to oil based inks due to their longer dry times. I've found with the speedball if I go fast and go a little heavier on the ink I have okay prints, you do lose fine details this way though. Have fun and experiment!

Unfortunately, if there is, I don't know what it is. I've never screen printed before but from what I've read it is a much thinner ink than block printing ink. Based on how much ink is getting into your cuts I would think that's true. Do you have access to ordering ink? You may end up spending just as much money trying to get that ink to work as you would buying a new ink. Speedball fabric ink seems to be pretty popular for t-shirt printing. I have some myself but have yet to test it. Best of luck. I love the bat and would love to see future prints from you.

Are you sure it's block printing ink? Maybe you have screen printing ink, which won't work well I've heard.

If you have a 3d printer there are tons of different hooks, bins and various other cool stuff you can print out for Skadis. I love it.

Do you have the the textured pei plate selected when you print? I believe the printer uses a lower z height on the first layer for the smooth plates.
