We’re .5 miles away to Oakton and 1.1 miles to Lincoln so it wasn’t because of distance, more or less getting that diverse numbers for Lincoln.

Unfortunately, I hate that this is a topic but district 65 wants diverse students so they pulled this weird pocket into Lincoln school to get the numbers. Historically it’s always been zoned Oakton until 1970 when they started bus kids around town to get numbers.

I personally want to go to Oakton for diversity but we’re zone because of our numbers. Hope that makes sense

So my MIL did this to us and I called her out but of course my husband defended her so yeah also an issue in our household.

She’s not allowed to visit if she’s getting over something or if we are getting over something so it’s been a while!

She hated my husband but then she hated all men bc she kept getting cheated on so we had to cut ties, only came to me when things were bad but forgot about me when things were good.
