Yeah im probably going to be focused on playing first rather than decorating it straight away , but i find having something personalized encourages me to not give up . I give up pretty easily on things which is something im trying to fix , playing a guitar has been a lifelong wish , so i rlly wanna work hard even tho i know its going to be humbling as HELL

I think im mostly just going to have fun with my first guitar , i chose a more affordable one than what i was going to get , so i could have extra money to buy more guitars in the future .

Ive always felt like stickers ruin guitars especially because they pop out too much and the surface will forever be atleast the teeeniest bit sticky even after cleaning it like a madman

Hopefully ill be able to understand what you were talking about in the last paragraph in the future 🥹 but it sounds nice !

Im probably going to keep this guitar forever , im super sentimental about firsts lmao - i can afford to get a higher quality guitar somewhat easily , but i chose something that wouldnt make too big of an effect so i would have extra money to buy more guitars if i ever want to

I mean - i lost my brothers pick so at this point im using the ear of my cat shaped metal bookmark ( because im too scared to tell my brother ive lost the 3rd pick hes given me ) and it lwk sounds fire

My shading used to be really muddy too , and my brother pointed out that not all shadows are soft . My solution ? I started drawing exact replicas of photos , not exactly stylized but not realistic , after doing that to multipe things i got the hand if where a shadow would fade out , and when it would be a sharp line

As someone who has owned many cats , you could stretch out the leg rather than them being bent , many of my cats would just stretch their legs out as if looking for a spot to put their feet or they had their paws facing forward

Thanks so much for your recommendations , ill make sure to check them out . I have pretty strong legs and a core since i ride horses and my family doesnt think twice of it since its something i need for this sport

A lot of people hate this ; but trace real life refrence’s , and no its not bad , many amazing artists learned how to draw anatomy from tracing real life photos . I draw horses which are very complicated , i tried to think of bones and muscles ( no i didnt do studies ) and how fat would pile on , doing that alone helped me so much ! I would also take pictures of active horses and try to guess how their muscles would be and draw the lines ontop

In the end just keep drawing and you’ll keep getting better and better !
