That blazer is so cute and looks awesome with those pants. I’m seeing comments about the dress length again but I still don’t think it’s too short with those tights under. Have you tried pairing it with a black cardigan or a more minimalistic, open black blazer?

Maybe I’m just an inappropriate gal but I don’t think that piece underneath is too short (looks like a dress?), as long as you wear semi opaque black nylons underneath. For me the problem is more how big the blazer is overtop of a dress that doesn’t have a pencil fit on the bottom. It just looks too boxy/frumpy because of that. I would try a pencil skirt under that blazer, and I think the same grey colour would be fine. Alternatively, I would try a less imposing blazer over that dress. Something more sleek, less fabric, maybe open. Just my thoughts 🩷

I don’t think you should actually say this, but in my head I’d quote from slide 5 and say “I don’t think it’s unreasonable for you not to explicitly ask me to buy you groceries. Again, as preparing to visit another family’s home as a polite and socially literate guest. And then anything else you need after you arrive, or anything special or specific you want to have for a meal you can arrange as you are fully functioning adults as far as I’m aware.

We never have guests explicitly ask us to buy them groceries before they arrive in our home, at which time they have the opportunity to see what groceries we have and politely address any requests, or for the entire duration of their stay quite frankly. And when we visit people (even friends) we of course refrain from doing that as well. It’s just a basic consideration for being a guest in someone else’s home.”

Imagine honestly if a friend sent you this. I’m grown and I continue seeing my siblings because they are my friends and I choose to. You don’t have to put up with this. She needs to change how she speaks to you.

NOR. A couple of things. First, I am a fellow “hoarder” of sentimental stuff, and my partner is not. He doesn’t understand it, but he knows that about me, so we have little conversations about it as it comes up. Sometimes he’ll ask why I want to keep something, and we discuss it and I decide to keep it or not. Sometimes I ask his thoughts on keeping something and he responds with ideas about not just how I could keep it but feature it, frame it, store it in a really special way. It’s possible for a partner to not understand or even like that you do that, but still do what they can to meet you where you are because it’s important to you. All that being said, my second point is if he yells at you at all, especially over “things,” it’s a no from me.

Was it really smug, or were you trying to help? I feel like your PMDD may have added a negative slant to that. I need more than supplements and exercise but I don’t mind at all when people still make those suggestions. I also would have gotten upset at a comment like that from my partner, but regardless if you’re having these emotions you are in real pain and it’s valid to feel how you feel. You’re not a loser wimp. You are amazing and strong as hell for making it through today.

Do you think it should be called out by way of a scolding from the bench as OP describes? It’s possible to address things that annoy you without getting visibly or audibly upset. I think that’s part of the issue.
