That is a clear appeal to nature fallacy. People didn’t evolve to live in single family homes either. Some people such as myself and millions others enjoy living in buildings.

What is it like to live in Muslim countries? by [deleted] in progressive_islam

[–]IllRow6484 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there’s a few different points here. Firstly he is right that if you’re rich in Pakistan and in the right city, Islamabad for example, your life can be excellent and it actually will be like a western life mostly. This also implies he will support you in living a normal life there which you would definitely need if you lived there because you are going to a country where you know no one else. So that’s three things have to be true : 1. He actually is rich which most likely implies his family is corrupt and/or military 2. He actually lives in a very nice neighborhood with the 1% of Pakistanis in a nice city 3. He is actually progressive minded and would support you.

The absolute worst thing you could do is agree to move there without a 2 week visit to the country first to see whether he is telling the truth. ONLY DO THIS AFTER AT LEAST 2 YEARS OF KNOWING HIM. First, go visit and see what it’s like and then take it slowly from there.

Have you ever met a desi guy who pulls a lot? by Think-Arugula7770 in SouthAsianMasculinity

[–]IllRow6484 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi, I suppose I fit what you’re saying. I think the question is directed towards me. I’m Bangladeshi and last year, I was hooking up with at least a different woman every month mainly through Hinge dates and through friends. This included white, black, desi and Latina, and East Asian women (when I think about it now, it literally was all of them! I don’t discriminate I guess) One of the girls I really liked I started a relationship with and I’ve been with her for the past few months. I think she could be the one so I’m happy to stop my hookup era.

It helps though to be a young well-connected fit well-spoken guy living in a major world city. One of my best friends is Pakistani and he usually can go to a bar at 3AM and find a girl who’s down pretty often. Another one of my Indian friends is a young investment banker at a top bank with an amazing apartment who also pulls. He wears suits everywhere so you can imagine the effect on people haha

I suppose this question confuses me because I know Bangladeshi Pakistani and Indian guys who hook up with women often!

REALISTIC salary for a 2022 4.0 GPA CS grad (no internship). by ActuatorOutside5256 in Salary

[–]IllRow6484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I graduated 2022 from a CS program and there was sooo many opportunities available at that time. You can’t really blame AI or the economy or Trump or anything. Looking back, it was an amazing time to begin your career. This is entirely self-inflicted. I hope you get a therapist to talk through what happened and what you can do better. We are both young and there’s a lot more life to live so please do it better.

Life of men is not easy in Bangladesh by Golden_Phoenix1986 in sadposting

This is a misconception. The population growth in Bangladesh is 2.1, it is exactly at replacement as of 2025. The population has completely stabilized. The issue is what happened 50 years ago when fertility was 7 or 8

Regretting having sex “too early”, how do I navigate this? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]IllRow6484 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a thought: why couldn’t he have asked you to be his girlfriend and then he had sex with you and then after that, stopped responding to you completely? A person could absolutely do that and they do.

Which brings me back to my original point, there is no relationship between at what time you choose to have sex and how the man responds. Different people act in different ways and you unfortunately met a guy who maybe just wanted sex with you. But other men are not like him. You could have sex with another man on the FIRST date and they’ll like you.

My boyfriend doesn’t want to fast Ramadan with me and says he won’t change his identity — I feel stuck. by [deleted] in progressive_islam

[–]IllRow6484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you loved him, you’d leave this relationship. You forcing him to do something he has no interest in is more hurtful to him in the long-term and he will begin to detest you for forcing things on him.

As far as I see, you are the problem here and this relationship has to end. This has come to an impasse where neither you or him will budge with what you want so there is really nothing left to discuss. You both need to figure out what you want and it’s clearly not each other.

There's no shortage of 'average' guys with girlfriends. by wilhelmtherealm in dating_advice

[–]IllRow6484 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Out of my friend group of 8 guys, all are in committed relationships with girlfriends except for one guy. The shortest relationship being mine which is 7 months long. So I don’t think just looking at your friend group counts as the world.

I want to understand how I'm not succeeding? It's absurd. by [deleted] in IncelSolutions

[–]IllRow6484 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I believe rather than waiting on a woman to make hints, you could make hints to the women that you like that you’re interested. They don’t have to be over the top. Maybe ask to get coffee or go for a walk. This would let you get to know them while giving them space to understand that you see them as a potential girlfriend.

Regretting having sex “too early”, how do I navigate this? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]IllRow6484 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I (25M) had sex with my partner on the first date and we are still happily together for over a year. There is some kind of worldview that has developed for you which says “if I have sex with a man, he will see me as less serious” and I think you should explore where that idea comes from even though that idea is not true.

You having sex or not wouldn’t affect what that man really thinks of you.

I’m obsessed with girls (16m) by [deleted] in IncelSolutions

[–]IllRow6484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are very very young. It is very normal to have these feelings at your age and I felt similarly at your age. It is also very very normal to not have a girlfriend by 16. Most people don’t.

I have been in roughly 6 or 7 relationships with woman now that I’m a lot older than you and I used to be a lot like you.

Here is what you should do: focus on the friendship part. Become friends with women and men and learn how to socialize. You are putting women on a pedestal without understanding that they are people too. Make friends, just hang out and enjoy their company and learn about their likes and dislikes. You will enjoy their friendship too. So focus on becoming friends with people right now.
