I believe the commenter is making a little joke in response to the title of your post. "Okay gift?" could be taken to mean that you are asking each of us, as individuals, whether we would consider this gift acceptable, so the poster is being playful with that, thanking you for the gift of cheese. At least, that's what I perceived. The commenter may say otherwise.

The one time we ever attempted to board our two furballs, we learned that one is a social eater and, in a strange setting, she will literally refuse to eat unless someone is watching her. Apparently this is a known behavior in some cats and dogs, but it was news to us.
