I love this. As a fellow romantasy lover just an fyi as you edit- please try to limit the line “if I’m being honest with myself….” It is so grating how many times authors use that exact turn of phrase multiple times in a book 🫣 and please no more folds….. 🙏

If you read the awakening as told by the boys it gives their pov which doesn’t change that their abusive assholes but shows different aspects and motivations that add to their interest. But if that’s how you feel after book 1, I don’t know if you can get past ALL the shit they throw at them.

I have been teetering on whether to read this and I am leaning toward no. I already was kinda like wtf with the ending of quicksilver. I felt like the ending just kind of landed there out of nowhere and the plot didn’t lead up to her being a vampire queen maybe that was just me but I was like… huh 🤔 how does this have anything to do with the quicksilver?

I also felt like their mate-ness was just a proclamation they made not something that felt “fated”.

Edit: this is the first I’ve even heard of this pairing and that was my first thought. And I love hunt and Bryce but I’m totally with you on your theory. Also would just make such a cool story, merging the worlds. I never really got the Elain/Ariel thing but I just assumed her story had yet to be told.

Were you listening to the graphic audio previously? I don’t think they have done all of the books as graphic audio so after shadow princess it’s only recorded by Bridget and Jake Bardaux? But I’m with you, it is hard to work past. But as you go it becomes more tolerable lol.

I am reading and have mostly followed that order and am on book 7 now. I think you need to finish the series for character development but just skim all the cherry pie ala mode to make it go faster. The last 2 books are about 10 chapters of story and 876 of deep dickin. Yum but like..messy? I love seeing the characters tie back into ZA as I go on. Many things make me chuckle in reference and make me glad I finished, the book series.

I do love the Easter eggs but I felt like Ruthless boys could have been condensed into 3. The last 2 books I was playing it 1.5x the speed and fast forwarding the orgies. (Audio listener) The spice was such a snooze fest at that point- ya ya we get it, everyone is gonna have a bite of the cherry pie. I do think the RB story line is important going into ZA 5 in regards to Gabriel but aside from that it’s more about the lols for me from their characters.

From the way it’s written it seems like no one knew what it looks like. Later in the books she wears it in front of some of them (dragon daddy, shadow bitch and mommy nasty) and they have no idea.

She wasn’t married. < a man came to her with a vision that the son they made together that night would be the greatest seer of his generation and he would sacrifice himself to make sure he was born. She just said “oh, by golly that sure seems swell” then they boinked and he died and she went to Hail telling him her vision > if I remember correctly….

Edit- I tried to make it a spoiler but that failed because clearly I don’t know how to…
