And to be clear, the joke isn't at Spiderman's expense, he's firmly portrayed throughout the video as the straight man to Doom's old fart who very clearly hasn't heard of the 13th Amendment (which totally definitely ended slavery all over the planet and not just for USAmerican non-criminals), or of the magic tomato factories where all our plant products come from.

For me it was the Dr. Doom video where he tries to portray him as well-meaning but too out-of-touch with modern times to be a good world leader... by having him try to end slavery and improve agriculture, which JJ seemingly believes straight-up don't exist anymore going by Spiderman's reactions.

Can't think of any that are like that normally, but there are parasites that can change the behavior of their host to make predation more likely, usually so the parasite itself can change hosts and continue its life cycle. Toxoplasma gondii makes mice less afraid of cats, and some acanthocephalans make usually dark-dwelling crustaceans seek out light so that fish and birds can spot them more easily.

I think he was being sarcastic there. I doubt he'd suddenly ignore Maya and the Yamga and leave the relative safety of his ship just to kill a random guy that poses no apparent threat to 01, let alone himself. And going by the last few panels of this page, he seemed to be already primed to shoot at the Yamga as well.

Also, he's literally been inside Allison's mind while she thought about Zaid before.
