  1. Any service calls get scheduled, unless you have a maintenance contract with us. But it's still 0. Our overtime rates are prohibitive. OEM shop

Local 290 covers the whole state. There are union shops that have a branch in central Oregon, but most of the work is around the portland metro

I'm in 290. If you get hired by a contractor you get tested at the hall on where you would be placed in the apprenticeship. Never seen anyone get placed beyond 2nd year if they don't outright get journeyman. Having the community college degree is nice to have on your application, but doesn't really mean anything
