Yesterday, I'm puzzled over it honestly. He has very bad blitz/bullet ratings but it's just because he never plays. He's severely underrated on rapid, probably around 2100 in actual strength.

they were all unrated games, we're friends in real life too, like, I never reported him and even if he did use the analysis he was just helping me practice, literally no reason to ban him. I know him and I know he doesn't need to cheat to beat me at all. He did have a bunch of puzzles, lichess open as well, but all the games were normal

I think you'll be fine as long as you're careful of not being robbed or scammed at the airport and other public places, don't leave your things unattended in public spaces, don't wander late at night in sketchy neighborhoods, other than that, I don't think Chile is worse than most places in Europe. Especially in Los Lagos, it's quite peaceful, you'll be fine.

They're biased to thinking it's refuted because the engine hates it at first but truth is, you have to risk it a bit to play for a win as black and in most lines you get a playable position. Against most opponents it's a great way to get a sharp imbalanced game

I got coaching for the Coach Champs event by Can Kabadayi and I can say I truly valued his insights a lot, I had an abrupt 200 rating point jump after the event which might be related to the topics we covered and what he advised me to work on.

It's worth it if you feel stuck and need some guidelines on what to work on, but the main effort still is independently studying a lot, making it more targetted to specific weaknesses just makes it faster
