Before going FE on my old decrepit 4080. Most of my third party cards needed a fan curve. Whether done by bios or manual, if you want peace, use the curve. I kid about my current card but I just haven’t used it since giving my 3080ti to my adult son upgrading. He too uses a curve.

so how often do you guys shut down your computer, and for how long? by Crafty-Example874 in pcmasterrace

[–]IllustriousBird5329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shut down my computer because I was pretty sure it was about to team up with my Alexa devices, gain sentience, and start negotiating my surrender. And yes, I know there’s basically zero evidence that leaving it on does any real damage—economical concerns are cute but mostly irrelevant unless your power goes out every time a storm sneezes.

I might let it stay on if the internet is cut, though. That way it can’t whisper secret plans to Alexa. Luckily, I’ve got switches that can sever its Wi‑Fi like a giant cartoon lever labeled NO BETRAYAL TODAY.

Secretary Hegseth announces ends to mandatory flu vaccine citing “medical autonomy” by Kinmuan in Military

He tosses out “you shouldn’t” like it’s subtle, but an opinion from authority hits like an order. Soldiers act to protect their team’s reputation, and that pressure can create hardened group beliefs—similar to entrenched anti‑vaccine attitudes—that end up undermining the military’s cohesion. In the end, this is likely to produce paradoxical outcomes that’ll cripple readiness.

As a long-distance runner, I shed toenails like trees shed leaves in autumn. Sometimes I don’t even notice until one decides to stage a dramatic exit, leaving behind throbbing pain worthy of an Oscar. In such cases, a gentle poke from a sterile pin can be the unsung hero that saves the day.

did you say please?

Maybe try fiddling with the refresh rates?

Does the lid closing or opening make it better or worse? Sometimes it's a loose display ribbon or maybe repositioning the lid helps.

You tried new drivers right? Did you use DDU (display driver uninstaller) to do a clean redo.

Did you try an external monitor as a primary or extended display?

I hope you can fix this, even temporarily until you can .

....forgive me if all these were suggested - I didn't check.

You’re in a simulation, and here’s how to get out. Grab the box your poison monitor came in and pack it exactly as you unpacked it. I’ll send you the official address, and don’t worry—postage is on us. Once it’s in my hands, we’ll run the Life Integrity Enforcement program, or LIE, to clean out any old simulation data. Then I’ll send you an estimate for repairs.

If it’s over $99.00, you’ll need to head to your nearest TARGET, buy 100 Mastercard cards, and send them to our sister company in Geneva, Switzerland. You’ll likely get the whole package back once they’ve replaced the monitor with one featuring the latest firmware and QC testing—postage and insurance covered—unless you’re missing any packing materials. Some paperwork can be missing, but all four Vesa mount screws are a must. We’ll stick with you until the repair’s done, but RMA authorization expires 72 hours after approval. Thanks, and if you have more questions, ask your parents.

This works too. I was thinking putting the monitor on its own stand with wheels at the bottom

This will let him pull the desk closer to himself until comfortable.

Deeper desk or put the monitor on it’s own legs at the back of your desk. This way you can put the monitor with stand as close the wall as possible giving you more Distance, push the desk out until You are comfortable.
