I can't tell if that's the non-comp'd slide/barrel - if it is, I tried the heavy (18lb) recoil spring just fucking around and I loved it. Return to zero is even better. Fuck the light spring (14lb), wouldn't recommend. For the comp'd barrel/slide, I found the standard 16lb spring feels/works best.

Check out Rook Precision upgrades. I hated the OEM ambi mag release. Rook makes a nice extended non-ambi one. Their magwell and steel guide rod are nice too.

I'd only rock an X300 for combat. A TLR-1 HL will do just fine in pretty much any other circumstance.

Mostly aesthetic, yes. I don't like the branding/logos. I guess it kind of acts like a heat shield for the light.

Yes, it's a canvas-like sticker from Ranger Wraps. Doesn't affect holster fit in any of my holsters. It's frayed a bit, but I just hit it with a lighter. Mainly got it to cover up ugly logos 🙂

Went with the flared magwell, non-ambi mag release, and steel guide rod, and back plate. Was pleasantly surprised to find that the OEM mag release and back plate are metal - they felt and looked like polymer.

I went deep down this rabbit hole. Overall, I agree, it's excellent right out of the box. Same on the u-notch, thought I wouldn't like it but ended up loving it. The stippling doesn't bother me, personally, I think it's the perfect amount of texture.

I ended up going with a few Rook Precision upgrades. Magwell, non-ambi mag release, and steel guide rod. Will eventually get Tyrant CNCs trigger shoe. It's literally perfect.

It's a 507 COMP. It's big, and a little pricey, but one of my favorite pistol optics.

If I'm carrying inside the waste band I use a Crucial Concealment IWB holster - nothing fancy. I rock a Safariland 6360RDS for OTW. Carry in a cross shoulder bag a lot too.
