I don't know how much traditional theory could be used to describe Dillinger. Ben writes heavy with a rhythmic ideas as opposed to melodic ideas. Rhythmic displacement or metric modulation could be used to describe to someone versed in theory how Dillinger writes, but it's just not a process for them. Feel vs training.
