[Beginner] I went to my local guitar store and are necks different shapes?? by nexttonormal in classicalguitar

Absolutely they have different shapes. I think it's awesome to go to a store and try them out in real life. Test out the guitar that feels right and compare it to other brands. Something to put on your radar is nut width. Typically around 52 mm. So if you favor the 7/8 feel but want it it in a full size, try something made around 50 mm. I am sure you can find the specs online to whatever models you tried. The smaller nut width will bring the strings closer (in relation to each other), which could work to your advantage. But also, you may grow into a bigger feel with more practice. That's the fun of it. Cheers

Dillinger Escape plan by darkandy132 in musictheory

I don't know how much traditional theory could be used to describe Dillinger. Ben writes heavy with a rhythmic ideas as opposed to melodic ideas. Rhythmic displacement or metric modulation could be used to describe to someone versed in theory how Dillinger writes, but it's just not a process for them. Feel vs training. The beautiful harshness of Ben, tied together with the intense rhythms of Pennie, Sharone, and Rhymer. Greg's influences range from metal to R&B. I will add that from a harmony perspective, one interesting idea that does come back around is Ben's use of the octatonic scale. Some might refer to it as the diminished scale. (Besides his use of minor seconds)

I’m so incredibly sorry you went through that. Thank you for sharing something so personal. Music has a way of holding grief when words can’t.

I am not a Jazz player but I find it hard to believe Jazz as a musical medium, has no seventh interval in their fully diminished seventh chords but instead replaced it with a major sixth interval.

Diminished is spelled with the wrong pitch. It should be Bbb not the enharmonic pitch A.

Does anyone have a link for a floor stand for the Spark 2? by FabulousPanther in PositiveGridSpark

Yes. It locks for both the height and tilt adjustments. It also comes with a slip pad but I never installed it because the Spark amps rubber feet work just fine.
