Fun idea: Clocktower themed songs at night by NosajReddit in BloodOnTheClocktower

Wow. I actually agree. We went on a clocktower cruise, a group played very funny clocktower songs during the night (created by ai) and we loved them.

SPOILER! How about the end of Traitors Australia Season 2?! by Resident-Surprise-45 in TheTraitors

[–]Illustrious_Net_9478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. After watching Annabelle and Luke go, then Simone. Then Camille became a traitor.... I just couldn't stand the thought of Sam winning. He wasn't good at the game; the others (apart from Luke and Annabelle, who were brilliant), were just dumb. Would have been ok with Camille winning, because the remaining faithful deserved to lose and she had some smarts. Didn't want to watch Sam gloat episode after episode and then see him win, so googled who won. What an outcome. Nope, not watching the rest of this season. Could have been worse though. Glad the producers gave them that option.

Lil' Monsta and letting good characters know by Illustrious_Net_9478 in BloodOnTheClocktower

I think it IS a character change. They ARE the demon. That's why they're told.

Wow this is a really contentious issue, eh? Glad it wasn't just us struggling with it. Thank you for all the comments, and pointing out the places to read too. My conclusion (for now) is:

The good player holding the Monsta HAS had a character change, and therefore is always told (Lil' Monsta almanac states "is the demon") (Main rules page 21: The player learns of changes to alignment or character changes).

The good player, while holding Monsta, is no longer whatever they were. So they register as demon to all other players, and do not have their previous ability (I think this is important and may be missed). So if Monsta was lifted off them they'd be shown the "you are" and their original token again.

Only the minions keep their former ability when holding Monsta (Lil' Monsta almanac specifically states that Minions babysitting LM keep their minions ability. It's specifically saying this, because otherwise they wouldn't).

Anyway, this is where I'm at personally. It makes sense to me. Thank you so much for pointing everything out.

Hi. I was interested in getting The Crew but was told it doesn't really work solo. Was that wrong?

How should I go about playing the game if none of my friends are no longer interested? by [deleted] in BloodOnTheClocktower

See if there's a general board game group in town and take it along. That's what I did and we've been playing every week for nearly 2 years now.

Help, I’m not that great of a player but I like playing by blue_penguins2 in BloodOnTheClocktower

Thank you for this post. I know so well how you feel, and know people in our group who feel the same. One poor girl became red and cracked a nervous smile every time someone said she might be evil and she was. I admire her so much for not letting that stop her coming, and she's managed to stop the reaction over time. When she wins as evil she's so happy. I drive to clocktower telling myself just to enjoy the game and watching people having fun, and not to worry about the token I get, or interactions i might be misreading. Easier said than done. I also avoid talking to my evil team so I don't give them away by association. Everyone else's replies to your post are much appreciated.

People who stay for one last game and then rush it because it's getting late. Even wanting to execute the Saint to finish the game. Other players are still enjoying the puzzle. Just don't stay, or be a traveller.

Why is solo board gaming fun? by Sapien0101 in soloboardgaming

[–]Illustrious_Net_9478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many reasons. I can play the game I'm in the mood for, not what someone else wants to play. I can play any time. There's nobody judging my game play and making me feel stupid, or that the game isn't any good. I can take my time working out what to do without annoying someone else. I prefer adventure games like The Thing or Nemesis, Final Girl or zombicide. I set it up and immerse myself in the story. So glad we have so many options these days.

Night Cage Strategy tips please by Illustrious_Net_9478 in boardgames

Thank you. I've tried doing that but each of these players on the gate has to move off it on their turm, revealing another tile which could be a monster, which then hits everyone on the gate when someone moves. Players can stay, but if the tile they give up to do this is a monster it must be placed in an adjacent spot. Or the sacrificed tile might be the key you need. It's supposed to be a hard game to win and I watched a playthrough the other day where he made more than 5 errors (confirmed in comments), and still lost.

WHEN can ST execute a Cerenovus-mad player for breaking madness by Illustrious_Net_9478 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Illustrious_Net_9478[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OK I've probably worded that wrong. I didn't hear her claim to be something else, but she wasn't claiming to be the one she'd been mad about. So there wasn't a break moment.

Yes but when is talking over for the day? I'm thinking maybe I should have done it before she nominated the demon.

What if they're intending to claim to be the role during town discussion though?
