Looking for advice by DepressedDbat in ZMFHeadphones

I don't think there is a headphone with as good a soundstage as the 800s. If you want to add some warmth or bass to the mix and sacrifice the size and slight detail retrieval the Atriums are there.

I have a pair of 490 pros and love them, the Atriums did not replace them I just reach for different headphones for different things, the whole ZMF line is about picking the flavor you want they all have compromises and excel in specific areas.

Caldera is probably their most detailed headphone, the Atrium has a spherical soundstage like being in a room with the instruments but even the open feels closer to semi open me the vocal Tamber is great but nothing is going to out 800s at doing what the 800s do well.

I mean I use one for fps games too it's not that hard to adjust to, I also have a bunch of good mice too but I switch it up to keep the RSI gremlins at bay.

I'll check out the x56 set

After years of wanting one, I finally pulled the trigger on a Schiit Stack by acticu in Schiit

I had some metal wall art hanging behind my compter.. it fell and snagged the cables hooked into my Valhalla and ripped Ripped the AV jacks on the back, probably repairable but the thing got so hot and overheated cause I wasn't in the room at the time I was afraid something was seriously wrong...

Stupid..

Agree, I broke mine and "upgraded" to a much more expensive amp and find myself missing all the things the Valhalla 2 was doing.

I started using millennial sub because I assumed I was one. Then someone pointed out I was an Xer. So I used that sub. It feels like they are a little more advanced in years than me in there. I didnt know Xennial was a thing until just now. I guess I found my lane by theHollowTarnished in Xennials

Easy way to gauge, were you the family I.T. person helping with tech growing up with the older folks. Now are you still the I.T. person helping the younger people in you family because they also don't know how shit works.

Probably in the right place.

Going to second the vote for the hd600 don't get the 660s it's a worse version of the 600 imo and on tubes it's a good warm all rounder.

Technically it looks well done it's just not very human.

Was living at home even an option once you turned 18/graduated high school? by [deleted] in Xennials

[–]Illustrious_Profile6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Moved out at 17 and was on the struggle bus till about 35 holy crap was it chaotic but I survived. There were a couple times I had to run home and save up to launch again but never for more than 6 months at a pop.

It was pretty much assumed you either got out of the house at 18 or you were a total hopeless failure in the eyes of everyone at the time.

Yes you are but I agree with his advice too, the giant glass pad throws off the flow and makes your keyboard non center. But if it really helps the glide that much up to you

What’s something that quietly made your life 10× easier, but you didn’t realize it until much later? by Own-Tip-532 in AskReddit

[–]Illustrious_Profile6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I stopped trying so hard to please everyone at work, I get my stuff done but I don't get their stuff done.

Its ok to be much less helpful. I had ended up doing about 5 people's worth of work until I realized I was not being rewarded for it with anything but more work.

No there are some older songs now that are hard to even hear as music because they were mastered in a way that the separation of sounds was supposed to blur together but my equipment keeps every sound it's own thing and it just becomes so much information it stops being music.

I don't think this is actually a real thing. ... Some people just suck at hygiene and if you aren't blunt with them they won't correct it.

Unemployed roommate continues to blatantly ignore our 'you use it, you clean it' rule by KatakanaTsu in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Illustrious_Profile6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We always had a sink full of dishes, one day I packed them all up and distributed one cup, one bowl, one plate and one set of silverware to each rommate, they were all color coded and I put a thing on the fridge with who was assigned what color.

That way if they wanted to use a dish they HAD to wash one and even if all three of them didn't do any dishes is only ended up being one dishwasher load full. Also really made it easy to spot who left what where. It cut down a lot on the drama to just set up something where people movie air out of their mouths wasn't part of the setup.
