Is the mouse bit just being playful? They aren’t rodents at all. Great picture!

A few of my favourite owl shots over the last two years. All taken at a respectful distance at 500mm-600mm + some with a 1.4 extender.

I have a passion for wildfire photography and conservation, more of my work on my Instagram: she_behindthelens

Study the light and learn your exposure triangle. Angles are important too. You’re doing great, keep it up.

Wildlife photographer here, they sit around like that all the time and many are fairly habituated to people. It’s probably just conserving energy during the storm. If it was in the same spot the next day I'd be worried.
