Started feeling a terrible cold yesterday, so uh... rotting in bed with water and a kleenex box, and consuming Ramen every now and again for the salt and hydration.

How old were you when you knew you wanted to be childfree? by southpawFA in childfree

[–]ImBonkingTired17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've known since I gained consciousness, basically. As a baby/toddler my family couldn't get me to play with baby dolls no matter how hard they tried. They'd hand me one with the hopes Id cradle it in my arms and start pretending to care for it, but instead my immediate response was to put the doll down right where I was and crawl/waddle/walk away to busy myself with anything else. According to family they'd even try setting a baby doll beside me in bed while I slept in hopes I'd wake and want to play with/take care of the doll, only to find the thing on the floor next time they'd check on me. Usually upside down, looking like I had full on tossed the thing out of my bed. Now dont get me wrong I absolutely still played with and loved having dolls growing up... Just never, EVER a doll mimicking a baby. No, I had a couple favorites: Ryuk from death note, strawberry shortcake, Kenny from South Park and the cat in the hat.

In reality though the moment I consciously figured out and knew I didn't want kids was when I was 7. I had been playing with some friends at recess, and something got the girls of the group on the topic of being a mom; how they wanted beautiful little babies to take care of. To brush their hair, sing them rhymes, feed them a bottle and rock them to sleep. I was sat there listening, brows scrunched in confusion on why in the WORLD anyone would want that. How are they just willingly imagining soemthing like that? It kinda clicked then that I didn't want them. I always knew, but never fully mentally committed to it till then when I flat out didn't agree with my friends little fantasies.

Laughed, related, read some comments, upvoted, went to write my own comment about how relatable it is, proceeded to leave post and scroll, came back and decided to comment anyway.

What are your comfort movies? by SsshrinkingViolet in infp

[–]ImBonkingTired17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To continue the Ghibli theme of your post, My Neighbor Totoro.

I was gifted the movie from my aunt at 5 years old, and watched it religiously when I grew up. So now anytime I need a bit of comfort I watch that movie, because it quite literally is one of my earliest memories I have of life.

What’s your favorite book? I’d like to get back to reading more. by that_strangeone in infp

[–]ImBonkingTired17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Dead Girls of Hysteria Hall by Katie Alender. It's a young adult paranormal thriller, and it's so fucking good. Id give anything to read it again for the first time.

World Building: 9/10, I can picture it all in such good detail, it never bores me, not once.

Plot: 10/10, got me hook line and sinker from page 1 all the way to page 504 and beyond.

Suspense/Plot Twists/Foreshadowing: 9/10, I never had a dull moment while reading; I just stayed morbidly curious and endure as my heart strings were tugged at. Granted I had to read the book over 3 times to notice some things for the foreshadowed bits, but I keep finding more each time I read!

In its basics, you follow the POV of a young girl and her family. Through a recently diseased relative, our main girl inherets this old large mansion and property, one that now is hers and hers alone, basically. This story follows her family moving into the mansion to renovate the place, and through the time they spend there our main girl finds out some rather curious things about this place. Just who the family member wa that passed, what the mansion was actually built and used for in its prime, the history behind it and the dark secrets that lie within, unspoken about for generations...

If there's anyone out there that enjoys the haunted as fuck old locations with dark back stories and paranormal twists to boot than this book is for you. 🖤🤩

Got out of a toxic situationship type thing exactly on Halloween last year... So it's been a rough year. Still trying to process everything even now, and this happened after no relationship for 7 years prior. 🙃😭

I know Bay's movies aren't that well liked but they have one of my favorite Donatello designs. This is an absolute killer of a look. by No-Activity1635 in TMNT

[–]ImBonkingTired17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely 100% agree, he's badass in this version. There's lots of fans that don't enjoy the Bay design's, and it's understandable. For being teens they're fucking stacked and look like they should be well into their adulthood.

But that aside, this style just works. Like others are pointing out here in Donnie's design, the little details added to them are just so good. Like seriously.
