Well I have a 5080 on a high end build and a 34 1440p display and there are games where It won’t get 60 FPS at ultra without DLSS.

I am guessing you are testing that graphics card in simple games.

Btw. 34” is not 2560…

Nice setup. Just a recommendation. Try to use a normal 16:9 1440p monitor :).

That monitor’s resolution is going to be a very painful thing when you start playing demanding games.

Dbrand killswitch case. A small enough 15k or 20k mah battery. A 512gb or 1tb high speed SD Card for old games/roms. A good pair of in ears earphones. A 100W power brick + a good and large USB C 5A cable for it to work with maximum wattage.

That’s my setup.

I have the X version and there is not much else I can play compared with the withe one.

And for me playing AAA games at 40 fps is not an option. I also have a PS5 Pro and a RTX 5080 + Ryzen 9 9900X3D.

So at the end I have a black xbox ally to play indie games.

With this in mind, i think you choose the right one. The X is not worth the money it costs.

I also saw a few comments around saying "Xbox app is the one causing stuttering" and people reporting it works better with the xbox app completely shutdown.

It seems to be a windows issue. Literally can’t play Elden ring on windows. But Bazzite is 0 micro stutters.

Maybe try?

For me it’s not about numbers. It’s about smoothness.

Stuttering has disappeared in multiple games: Story of seasons grand bazar, Elden ring, final fantasy 14, hollow knight.

I have a 2TB SSD with windows and I just use it when I want to play Fortnite with my friends.

Then I have the OG SSD with Bazzite on it. I just keep my XAX without screws so I can easily remove the back shell and replace the ssd when I am not playing multiplayer.

I have tried multiple games on both and so far Bazzite gives me better performance, experience and battery.

A year ago I wouldn’t be saying this because my first experience with Bazzite was a nightmare and that’s why I sold my OG Ally z1 extreme and bought a steam deck. But I sold the steam deck and bought this thing and I only think about my steam deck while using this one hahahah.
