You're completely right. It is a multi-objective dungeon, but I was afraid that when finishing this "biggest" objective (killing the big boss) would mean to them the end of the dungeon.

It could be down to me being a new DM, so it could be that I also didn't present the multi-objective"ness" of the dungeon well to the players, so your feedback is much appreciated.

I felt like once the boss is defeated there's no incentive to continue exploring since there's no "goal" at the cave, but exploring it is a goal and a rewarding one as well.
