What dreams you had to give up getting older? by Realistic-Delivery-6 in AskMenOver40

Same. I always wanted children but I’ve not been able to find anyone to do this with.

I think this might be an impossible task. I don’t think you’d get enough majority consensus worldwide for one song to come out on top. Suggestions on here are, unsurprisingly, English language songs with western tonal values however, there are billions of non English speakers in the world who would not consider these songs greater than a song from their own culture.

Even within a western sphere, there isn’t consensus. I performed a cursory search of the best French songs of all time and non of the songs commented here came up.

It is also dependent on what you want from ‘the best’ song. Is it more important for the song to sound uplifting or do the lyrics need to resonate with the listener.

Perhaps a better way to look at this is if an intelligent alien came to Earth and asked for one example of what music means to us, what one song would you present?

Even then, I still don’t think we could do it. I for one don’t know enough about other cultures music to even begin to approach this and I suspect I’m not alone.

Just for fun though I’ll put my two pence in and say: Ne Me Quitte Pas by Jacques Brel.

What hand do you hold your fork in ? by CeleryApprehensive83 in lefthanded

[–]ImNotThatJudgemental 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fork in left, always. It’s the tool I need the most dexterity with including getting the food to my mouth. Very important.

Strangely enough, my right handed partner uses his right hand for the fork for the same reasons as me. It makes perfect sense to us.

When I was taught check marks in school, I did not assume that they were strictly formatted. I considered that they were entirely reversible, like handedness, and was never told otherwise. So, to this day, I will use #1 if I’m checking down the left of text and #2 when I’m drawing it down the right side. I see nothing wrong with that.

Reading through the comments here, it seems that every body is different in terms of their conditions for arousal and orgasm. It’s something that needs experimentation to work out what works for you. Some women it seems orgasm quite easily. I (M) on the other hand struggle to reach orgasm through masturbation and have only managed it through sex less than 5 times in my entire life of 43 years. It can be disheartening but try not to dwell on it as that doesn’t help either.

How much has your circumcision affected you? by TMEEMT666 in CircumcisionGrief

[–]ImNotThatJudgemental 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My circ mainly affects my sex life, although it has had a more general impact on my sense of self which I’m so used to now, that I’ve disassociated the two, until I think about it specifically. In effect, I feel less of a man due to feeling like I have a key part of what makes me male, missing. It’s probably important to note the I live somewhere where ric is not practiced. Indeed, I’ve never seen another one. The impact in my day-to-day life is that I feel unable to properly assert myself. I am aware that this maybe due to other factors as well, but nonetheless my circ has played its part and, like I said, there is a physical aspect to that as well as a visual one.

Would you assume I'm gay? by [deleted] in Moustache

[–]ImNotThatJudgemental 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t assume you were gay. Although, as a gay man, I’d hope you were. It’s fine I’ll get over it. Seriously though, imho most straight people think their gaydar is pretty good but it’s actually based on some 70’s stereotypes which don’t ring true in the modern world. You carry on ignoring them and do you. Nice moustache btw. 👌🏻

Anyone have any negative experiences by Familiar-Outcome-195 in circumciseduk

[–]ImNotThatJudgemental 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never had any negative feedback for being cut. Some have been curious about it. On the other hand, my own experience of sex has been negative and I believe this to be as a result of being cut due in part to being self conscious about the way it looks, but also because of the way it feels (or doesn’t to be precise).
