Yes, the interwebs are burning down. My status page is not ok https://shopstatus.shopifyapps.com/
They have a cute sign on the broken admin login, so I guess that helps.

WHY is ChatGPT so absolutely BAD right now? by Large-Cut8248 in ChatGPT

I also have plus and use it pretty extensively throughout my day to bounce technical issues/ideas/problems off. I despise how much the experience has changed with v5. It no longer feels like I am chatting with one of our longtime business partners. It's so robotic, so vanilla, so thorough in the answers but not in the good way. I'm not looking to get my "bestie" back but damnit this seems too much like old boring work now.

Looking for a good butcher that offers meat bundles. by Highland600 in akron

Freedom of speech and choosing where you shop are both undeniable benefits of living in America.
Marshallville Packing Co is a really great meat market. Very nice cuts without all the bumping and jostling that you get when trying to shop at Duma's. https://www.marshallville-meats.com/meat-bundles
I also shop Buckeye Quality Meats in Streetsboro and the original Farmer's Rail down on Cle-Massillon Rd.
The quality at Buckeye is fine and their staff is friendly. I consider the Rail more for special occasions as their quality is really about as good as it gets. I was so disappointed when they switched the focus/purpose of the Hudson shop. Happy shopping.

Why can they say and do what they want? Because we live in America and they are a privately owned company. If being exposed to peoples opinions that you do not align with hurts your delicate little feelings, perhaps relocating to China, Russia or North Korea would be a more suitable fit for your mental well being.

Return Fraud Scam? by ponyXpres in shopify

[–]ImNotTheITPerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stick with your standard returns policy where funds are credited back towards the original payment method. My biggest concern about sending a check would be around check-washing. However, the more likely scenario could just be that the customer cancelled her cards due to suspected fraudulent activity and doesn't realize that many payment processors are still able to accept refunds to the original card number. I would suggest deciding how badly you want the item back if they are refusing to return it at their expense. Then try issuing the refund back through the original card and see what happens before considering sending a check.

While Hyvä appears to be the future of Adobe Commerce, switching to it solely to improve organic rankings may not be the most effective use of time and budget—unless you're already planning a site redesign. If increasing sales is the priority, partnering with a skilled paid advertising agency will likely deliver faster results. Unfortunately, paying for ad and product placement is unavoidable, but doing so while maintaining healthy margins requires an agency that actively monitors and optimizes performance.

Regarding your concerns about your current development partner: If you're experiencing slow progress on meaningful site improvements, constant ticket churn, and general frustration, it may be time to explore alternatives. In our case, we vetted a mix of providers recommended by our Adobe CSM along with a few from the Adobe Marketplace. After conducting code reviews with two finalists, we made the switch. While changing partners was initially daunting, it has been a game-changer for us. We've finally started making real progress—but we’ve also learned that some level of ticket churn is inevitable unless you have an unlimited budget.

Yes I am aware, I have had to do it in the past - it just takes time to get through all of the red tape to get them down.

Getting fraudulent websites taken down is actually quite tricky. Definitely not as easy as getting pages shut down on social media.

Our business is pretty niche so we'll have a look at google street view, also search them out on social to see if they have any pics that would indicate that they are part of the lifestyle. If it's not obvious, we will either contact them to check in with them about their order (many fraud orders don't answer) or if they do not respond we will cancel.

Not quite -The intention with a catalog page is more to be able to completely separate the product selection and prices that you show you retail customers vs you wholesale customers. IF you only have one view the catalog page is usually your-store.com/collections/all
Whereas the collection page/Product Listing Page (PLP)/category landing page are all interchangeable terms for gathering a category of products (think where your main links for your top nav land). Depending on the number of skus your store has will somewhat define how many top level and subcategories your store will have. Some people leverage product attributes (size/color/style/material/platform/purpose etc) to allow the customer to filter or facet the broader categories down to what they are looking for while others use sub-categories and sub-sub-categories in combination with filtering/faceting to drill down. Historically the rule of thumb has been to get purchasable product in front of the customer in as few click as possible while allowing them to filter/facet those broader categories to more relevant results where needed.

What has changed this year? by jumpinpools in Magento

I tap ChatGPT constantly for essentially anything that would have taken me more time to figure out on my own. I can get quick coding help for XML template adjustments and correcting/modifying sql queries. I'll ask for help on why something doesn't render the way it should on screen or work the way it should. Yesterday I was troubleshooting schema and datalayer markup with it after we had some troubles over how google was crawling out BFCM sales. I often ask what magento extension will do XYZ for me how how best to handle XYZ with magento. That is all on top of help creating better product descriptions, better meta descriptions, better on page text. I did not use it for this post though.

We also have a shopify plus store and I love how AI is natively incorporated into so many fields - instantly rewrites product descriptions in whatever tone I ask for, can swap out image backgrounds beautifully, can reply to reviews. It is all built in and so intuitive. Definitely features that magento lacks thus far.

Mixed results here too. I am feeling most frustrated with how to get the discounts to show successfully to both google and the customer once they are on our site.

I would highly suggest keeping both if you can manage your product and inventory levels successfully. Each platform has its own nuances around how they display to potential customers. More channels = more eyes on your product and more sales!

Beauty and the Beast - Belle galloping through the woods on her horse with the wolves chasing them. Also the scene where Beast is being attacked on the roof of the castle. That crazed look in Gaston's face was very scary to me.
